i remember some of the info. i can build a temp site and re-post some of the tutorials plus some if you guys would like, im sad to see psytuts go... :/

its a huge shame, i was looking forward to this websight opening when i first heard about it, prehaps we should all download the camtasia and make a small tutorial each showing how we do it our way, and submit them to the guys at psytuts to help them get up and running again.
im a noob and im not an exbert at all, but im willing to help if i can |

That sucks balls, even though I do my own tutorials I admired what those guys where doing its such a shame that ore people couldn't help them out.
I have some tutorials on my site which I am upgrading now and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future which are text based, and free.
so although there are no where near as many tuts as those guys had (yet) hopefully they will help some of you out.

if they are on a paid hosting provider, there should be periodic SQL database and data backup.
they should be able to recover it contacting the hosting service.
then they could port the articles to blogspot or something... without update commitments. it's free, it will last.
about the lack of contributors.. that's sad :| |

I think it was even a lag of promotion..i just remember one thread i attended to and this was gone to nowhere pretty fast..
If people would be reminded to it frequently maybe more people would contribute or actualy would be aware of that website..
Anyway, the hoster doesn`t keep backups forever, so if there was a crash and the site admin didn`t check the site for a few days to that time..the hoster might have deleted the backup..nevertheless, the site admin should remember all the topics that were covered and might post them here, so we could build new tutorials on that topics..
just my 2 cents
