it's all a amatter of taste IMO.
But i think i'l have to agree that Simon is amazing... definatly one of my favorite psy-artists.
Total Eclipse , HUX FLUX, and manyu more are definatly psychedlic as well :P |

simon posford is an amzing producer, certainly
just listen to the twisted album, anbd he has a very complex, resoloute sound and style which many prodcuers dont have |

There is no best artist, but for my specific personal taste it's like that:
1. MFG
2. Man With No Name
3. Astral Projection

i think there are some traits of a good producer that certainly define their talent in production, like level of detail involved, or attention. that doesnt mean what they maek has to be complex, as you listen to a lot of minimalist stuff, and of course theres very little in there... but technically, what they create might be leagues above everyone else.
astral projection and infected mushrrom are two examples of artists who, whether you like their stuff or not, are excellent producers technically, and create music which (certainly in IM's case) changes and progresses |
