thanks for all your support honestly i cant believe how amazing you all are had over 300 responses since tuesday!! i didnt think id get any! i have had so much kindness emailed to me too! i will try to post an overall summery of results on the website but cant really put all the results for the questions as this would be too long (i think), thats why i offered to email them to people.
just to answer justin chaos' question - the results can be shown and still be anonymous as the info will be summerised as %'s (in the yes/no answers) or overall themes (in the written answers). there is no reason why i would need to know the identity of a person.
anyway thanks again for all your lovely support

I know its been a bit of a long time since ive been in touch but hope everyone who emailed me their email address recieved a copy of my dissertation. thank you so much to everyone for their help. Isratrance forum proved to be one of the most globally used websites in my survey (28 different nationalities completed my survey from this site)and your answers were great. thankyou. It has been pointed out to me however that i forgot to ask an important question - how long people have been involved in with psytrance. Im looking for 100 people to click on the link below just so that i can get get some sort of answer to this question - if you would like to help please go to:

thanks guys. it was scarey posting dissertation cos i didnt want to disappoint people or misinterpret psytrance culture. so its really great to get your positive feedback.

Dosen't such a survey get a bit too sterotyped and one way directed when your basis for the whole survey is spirituality? I mean yes there are people in this scene that connect the music and the scene and their experience with spirituality but to be honest according to my experience the majority do not connect the scene with spirituality. They are here because of their love for the music and because they want to have a good time away from the daily life at school and job.
I have not read your survey so I am not saying it's a bad survey but I read that you yourself are into spiritual things and connect it to this scene. I just hope you have managed to keep the survey 100% objective and not concluded things out of your own opinion and personal beliefs.

IMO the survey is a tool. It´s not to be taken as a fact. It does not represent the whole comunity, but it can be useful to learn more, specially about the "internet psytrance fans".
It´s a valid idea IMO, you´ll get an idea, not the whole truth, similar things happen with interviews.

I agree and I was not out to accuse anyone of anything. It just seem to happen that whenever there's a survey or an article about this scene it's about spirituality or drugs. It just paint such a wrong picture in my opinion.
Maybe it's just because the majority do not really bother to analyse the scene and music as much as those who believe it's all about connecting the scene and music to spirituality.
