regarding the first one
The idea is very nice but I have a few things that bugged me there and I think you should improve.
1. The bassline isn't clear enough. It is what makes the trance after all so you need to make it a bit louder and also make sure it gets through.
The bass itself isn't very good IMO cause its not bassy and punchy enough, but maybe that's just me.
Anyway to make it clearer you should EQ all channels and make sure you cut the low frequencies . That is all the channels you don't really need the bass from. In bassline free parts - feel free to have another channel fill in the blanks, but generally you shouldn't let the other channels mix with the bassline as they just cancel it out.
Just by doing that you'll see that it would sound a lot better!
you should cut while listening solo to the track you're cutting from that would help you know up to where you can cut without damaging the sound.
Generally I cut most channels at 120-200hz depends on the synth and how much bass I do need there. Almost nothing gets less than 100hz because then it surely gets mixed up in my kick-bass.
Now the synths - They are pretty cool and I like this hardwell track too maybe add more synths that play the same roles and sound a bit different this would give a more full atmosphere and would make it even cooler. But really I liked it , bassline is the only thing that really bugged me.
Regarding the second track:
All of the above applies to here too.
In the second track there are a lot of sounds that get completely mixed within each other and it sounds more like a mess some of the time.. First one was better IMO.
Bassline there - you are going really low at some of the parts on your bassline - it isn't audible but you can make it audible if you use some plugin like Waves MAXXBass.
It's an exciter for bass and does a great work!
Keep going, hope you'll learn from my comment |
