Vermee,
your anger makes you histeric like a little child. no one takes your problems seriously as long as your way of arguing consists of riddiculus shouting out things like "fucking eltists". I realy think you have seen to much conspirancy videos in the www and are confusing things right now.
you are not the first person from brasil i am talking too - i know about the circumstances there but as long as you have cash for your weed-dealer you also have the cash to buy some music or some software.
And as sooner you gonna realise that, as sooner you will gain success.
And about the static chees of formula. 9 of 10 listeners today do not buy their music. I am sure in psytrance its around 9.9 of 10 listeners and this is the reason why there is no evolution since around 2002. No energy given, no energy recieved - simply as that.
It seems like everybody feels ok to steal software, steal music, steal formulars and then people are wondering why everything goes down - thinking about spending something is totally out of consideration, and as you might have realised the owner of this blog has a german flag ;-)

if i start to get money from the music its more than my obligation to support the SOFTWARES i use ( after all the hardwares that i had to spend money in years of workin to gather money ) not as some of u guys that work 1 month there in the first world country and already have the bucks to buy everything.
so sorry mate dont come with ur damn ethic when u are just one more colonizer that enslaved the world to live in confortable...

supporting the software? there only reason they charge anyways is because of snobbery and compitition with other companies. fair enough, spectrasonics go out to thier lengths, but i dont get them for free, why? because thier like 6gb files heheehehehe.
your only paying for the labour, gui design's and other little things.
Ive paid for my Creamware pro 12, Virus TI Rack mounts, Monitors laptop, books , dvds. desk, another screen. its been a struggle mate, ive had to sell most of my gear because of employment situations and me jumping the gun, England mate fucking England

when u say piracy s wrong , u are going against more than a half of the world and u are supportin the people who are in the leadin of it
thats what u are ?
if so u are a fuckin elitist, thats it...
and maybe im a child , a jerk or agressive or what ever, but u always ll be a fuckin elitist.
and since u are my brother, when u say something that goes against me i ll feel pain and i ll bash u , and when u say piracy s wrong u are sayin that i cant make music
then sorry go fuck ur self
come back to ur minimal house shity...
and again i have to say , i ll love to buy the softwares as soon as i have the oportunity, but till then PIRACY in some places around the world is just a LIGHT OF GOD.

How much expensive software/hardware does one need to make good trance tunes anyway?
There's tons of cheap (Logic 8 is 119 GBP educational discount price) and free software, that sounds fucking great, if you know what to do with it.
The problem is not the price of the software, or piracy, the problem is people HAVING to download every new god damn thing that comes out, cause they think that it will somehow, make their tunes sound instantly better.

I think people would be more motivated to buy software IF the bought software would actually work like promised.
Personally I had less good experience with bought software.
Man I remember the day I used Logic 7.0 on my G5, it was total horror, I had all theses bugs, e.g. Sudden Channel Death issue ...
I was so frustrated that I sold my G5 and logic and bought a Roland MV8000 to have a rock solid machine and rather make music than posting bug reports or getting fooled by a Software Company.
Chickensys is the worse software company I supported yet they sell software which is buggy and do not even ship the ordered CD ! They just allow you to use the "temporary" built. *insane*
However, now I am back on Computer and I even found again obvious bugs.
e.g. in Access Virus TDM, Hybrid, Structure.... are full of bugs, unbelievable. (at least on osx) http://facebook.com/ansolas

My flag has brighter colors than yours?
Lets put our cocks away...
Music is music make it or shut up, Nobody cares what you have and if you baught it or not.
The point is _ if you can... buy it!
If not, find a copy and shut up about it.
If you have to share please be quite and respectfull about it, have we tottaly lost the underground?
Its about being quite and under the radar people , dont be an idiot and let the world know your doing somthing thats against the grain.
I am not condone'in Piracy but I understand the need and the reason it has been around and will never die.
Thanx for the post but please learn how to be more ninja about it...
AND NEVER STEAL MUSIC!
We need to support each other the producers are the ones who loose in the end of all this.
There are pleanty of free downloads all over the net take advantage.

I'd like to weigh in on this post a bit. First of all, thank you very much for the blog....I'm just building a sample library and infusions for inspiration are great
Secondly...about the piracy thing. Come on. Money is completely evil and enforces scarcity of resources just by existing. I too think that you don't get without giving...however that doesn't have to have anything to do with money.
People should do things because they like to do them, not because they get paid to do them.
My favorite (well, it makes me sad, but anyways) example is Infected Mushroom and Simon Posford/Twisted Records.
Infected's first couple albums were really, really good...and then they wanted to make more money and went mainsteam and now they're steaming piles of dogshit who gave up on the community so that they could play horrible songs with mid-90s bad singers. Thanks, money.
Now, Simon Posford + Twisted Records are barely breaking even but they produce the best music to ever exist on the fuckin planet imo. I hope they stay poor as dirt as long as they keep making music the way they do.
Piracy introduces people to music they would never otherwise come across and that is a fact. If it wasn't for illegally downloading music, I would have never ever listened to psy-trance nor went to many festivals to participate in an ACTUAL give and take... in person with emotions, stories, experiences, REAL contributions to our community. Without it I wouldn't be passionate enough about the artists that I know now to actually buy their shit because I value their contributions.
If it wasn't for being able to download advanced DAWs I would never have jumped into producing and I would probably still be spending 8-10 hours a day mercilessly addicted to online role playing games.
So yeah, piracy is fucking great. It's one thing if you have the extra money - then sure, go ahead and buy every shred of music that you like + all the software. However, I consider music and musical creation/appreciation to be a fundamental human right and piracy helps to equalize the playing field.
Trying to play the moral character in 2009 as relating to software is a complete and utter waste of your time. |
