Hi,
I've only recently know about dtect magazine (http://www.dtect-magazine.com/) and when i got to read the only two issues i was amazed to realize how great it is.
Are there any other psytrance related publications in English or Portuguese? I've seen similar stuff in a friends house but can't remember what it was.
Thanks,
João

Revolve Magazine is a great little offering from Nigel Photon and friends and offers great interviews, reviews and articles relating to the psychedelic scene.

I'm sorry but i have to disagree. D-tect is nothing more than a promo catalog. Just read the reviews there.
God damn promo texts.
I miss NewZeek
Now that was a killer magazine. With some Isratrance notable members as writers and editors

Hi, the mushroom magazin was long time for free and still it is mostly free. Here in germany u get it on most parties for free, sometimes they also lying out at the local gas station
I think MushroomMag is the most know psy related trance mag. But its quality is not so good for most articles, lot of bad reviews, mostly just promotion or just written very subjective.
And also lot of crap about *magic* *fees* and this shit. I think they believe into it these crazy mushroom mag guys.
Peace

They all kind of suck, from my experience. I did enjoy Implant magazine back in the day, when finding reviews on obscure vinyl was difficult, and the industry wasn't so 'streamlined' towards promotion and marketing. The reviews there were good, and without the internet, it was a good way to get an idea (a very vague idea mind you) of how things were in the rest of the world.
You would think that the great new medium of the web would have spawned some content heavy sites of a magazine style, but these also seem to primarily be used as marketing vehicles. I see some interesting interviews from time to time, but where are the articles? Where's the juicy content? I don't think this movement engenders itself to a whole lot of thought some of the time... better to experience it than write about it, don't you think? Still, I'd appreciate more content - more to read. I suppose that's why I check out the message forums, although they infuriate me so much sometimes
