For psy-kicks i would NOT recommend any sample libraries, because you can make your own library with ISM Bazzism quickly enough. Not so much to tweak there

hey hey hey what that? And please dont tell me its logic native and its not available as VST..
Domi, its really much simpler and faster to synthesize kick on synthesizer than to make it in forge, audition or some other editor.. I know ur thinking of that infected tutorial but thats just bypass and not shortcut to kick making..

Its extemely flexible and versatile. You tune everything straight away, 4 envelopes to play with where you can draw curves that go beyond the conventional ADSR envelopes, 2 LFOs, EQ, two oscillators (and noise generator) to mix that sub kick on the spot, waveform asymetry, slope and saturation (great for them techno kicks), on board bitcrusher, filters, ring modulation and overdrive, easy selection of the start frequency the sine will start sweeping and the sustain frequency where the sine will "land", you can import audio files of already existing kicks to change the tuning and create new ones, but the abundant parameters mean nothing if there is no sound to back them up...and the sound is great.
Its not just for kicks, any kind of drum sound can be synthesised.
Dunno if there's something similar for the PC as I have been a Mac user for quite a while now.

Yeah Attack has been around for ages. Its good, but Ultrabeat is more flexible...although I am not giving Attack much justice, as I was not as experienced when I was using it back then, as I am now...I've spent a lot of time with Ultrabeat and I am getting to know it pretty well. So I am just sticking to that.
And yes, Logic's native plug ins sound really good and are very easy on the CPU...except Sculpture which is a monster. But thank God for quad 2.66Ghz Xeon processors.

I changed over to a Mac for Logic. Only thing I am probably going to do in the future, is get a Pro Tools rig and rewire Logic in Pro Tools. Logic synths and midi implementation combined with Pro Tools audio editing and TDM plug ins FTMFW!

yeah i like bassizm for kicks a lot and it doesnt even crash my sequencer, but i always feel like i can make a better fitting kick or my ears get tired of the kick so i end up changing it over and over untill i f up my whole song
its so much better with samples.. you make your kick and bass and thats it you are stuck
