Obviously, you open a thread asking for it

lol yeah, what steps did you guys take? I have no musical backround at all and really no music theory knowledge. I understand how to move my way around cubase 5.1 and have minimal knowledge of EQ and other processing effects/plugins. I know how to use my DAW quite well but have not really made any music accept for a psytrance course i followed and it helped me a bit but did not explain that much in detail lots of presets were used. After learning a DAW the first step to creating a track would be a kick-drum right? I know they say its all up to you but im just wondering what other peoples learning steps were?

i learnt my way around the daw by building my first (and absolutely horrible) track (all on my own).
actually i first started synthesizing my own kicks once i got my 10th track or something and used samples before, but making your own kicks is much more rewarding and usually also sounds better.
really there are no rules for what to do. play around with your synths, look at the presets, make your own sounds from the scratch. once you have a nice sound, make a nice pattern (or more) out of it; it doesn't matter if it's a kick, bass, lead or pad or whatever. this element will ask for others and at some point (varies widely, from pretty early on to very late, when you've got all your elements) you'll want to arrange, then afterwards mix the whole thing, and tada: you got your very first own track!
happy tweaking!

I seen that one(if we are talking about Psilocybians one), great tut, but additional sound designing videos would be awesome, but still best all in one psytrance tutorial so far.
If you are starting out, just skip mistakes that most of us made and learn everything when is fresh, you can skip most of the things that will hunt you, you can't escape, but it will affect your work till then.
Postpone pumping any track for little time and deal with synthesis, basic music theory and your tools, than you can use some basic knowledge and spend the rest of your adventure experimenting and using it.
My 2 cents
