I believe psytrance still has a chance...as I think most goaheads still try to keep things sort of underground...or as "underground" as they can.
As long as there are labels that put out stuff like PeLinPeLa or Texas Faggot, I think we're still good.
I think music comes in trends...waves...hard one moment, and fluffy the next.
If psytrance EVER gets on a Top 40 list, I'm sure there will still be underground parties in the bowels of South Africa or Australia...
it's all good.
DO NOT BE AFRAID. hehe.
And if you don't like what's out there, maybe you could try your hand at putting out some music, or collaborate with people to do so...
That is the best way to combat what you don't like: do it yourself and change it!

psytrance is evolving from hippie psycho shit TO a techno sub-genre
Saying Psytrance is dead is kinda stupid, since we get more and more release
Goatrance is dead, to bad... but imo it evolved into Full On
Has for minimal genre evolved to Prog, Psytek and Psyhouse...
The psytrance is stronger then ever... maybe you need to listen to more different stuff.
Time change, so does taste and mind!

Hardstyle is just a temporary thing. It's all the trend nowadays. Nevertheless, there are still DJ's that remain unaffected and keep on spinning great trance tracks. Check out: Markus Schulz, Misja Helsloot etc.
