SOOOOO,
the 3 additional speakers have arrived, and I have the cables, (except for 1 extension power cord, and I am about to buy the Neyrink 5.1 plugin which I will use on my Pro Tools LE to rout about some signals... hehehe
I have also found a free AC3 compressor on the net and am really looking forward to doing this. I will let you all know how it goes and upload some ac3's soon.
What I am currently looking for is someone who does visuals who would want to go for a 5.1 project with me. Anyone know anyone???

i do visuals on arkaos, here and there but thats in conjunction with ableton live... and really im no expert im really good at graphic design n stuff but we can certaintly give it a shot  that should be fun and different. u got live? if so maybe i can hook u up with arkaos and do something together, it would definilty be something different... id like to get into more surround stuff maybe i can pick-up on stuff u know... i would also have to do some setting up in my room for that though since right now its not...
ps. u can rewire arkaos to live, and u could do some really crazy shit...like have a face popping up at the tempo of ur hi hat or everytime u hit a crash cymbal just an example, the video sequences would also move to the tempo, so if u all of sudden slow it the video will do the same, chek out the app its mad fun and cool tool for live shows. |

Man i dunno about the tech talk, but i sure would love to hear some psytrance tracks in 5.1 dolby digital! I really think it's the future 4 psychedelic music. Crazycid, that DVD you talked about in the 1st post has 5.1 mixed tracks? Do you have any 5.1 tracks i can take a listen at? Awesome. =) |

making music in 5.1 is harder then most ppl think, you have to know a lot of technical things to be able to manage phase problems.

5.1 is definitely incredible, some of the most incredible experiences ive had at psytrance parties have been where the music has gone quiet, then all of a sudden sounds seem to start emerging from the floor, spinning round the room getting faster and faster and higher and higher and then eventually seem to drop on top of you. i think done like that it really does highten the experience alot, especially when you look around and everyone seems equally confused about whats happening!

i just upgraded my system to 5.1 with a fireface 400 connected to 5 Adam A7 and a yamaha sub..
it just makes so much fun to write music on it...damn
it just sucks not to have enough time to write on it..just on the weekends..
