Hmmm..... it can be a ridiculous discussion for some people, but I will try to explicit what I really wanna say...

Talking about history.... Is Psychedelic Trance just an "evolution" to Goa Trance? For sure, no. We all know that Psytrance (specially in those days) have a lot of influence from Techno, House, Trance, etc. Psytrance is a big and crazy salad...

I was listening to some old cd's that I had in the past from Eurodance, Italohouse, Nrg, etc... So, dance music at all.... and I notice many things that psyprojects used to use in their tracks..... A lot of things! There is two good examples that caught my attention.... The KICK! It's not a joke, but there is just a little difference between some kicks from Dance Music tracks and Psytrance ones.... and they are powerfull! Try to listen to Double You, Antaris, Alexia, Saifam label stuff, etc. If you're understand what I'm saying, are you with me? And isn't just this..... the BASS... man, so close that some old bass sequences can sound very actual... it's the same construction!

If you know old dance music songs, can you agree with me?

there are also some new dance tracks that sound a little like some old school goa. for example some tracks from sash (ecuador). and on old compilations there are tracks from "normal" trance artists. on the eternal trance compilaton from phonokol/trust in trance is a remix of cafe del mar. i think this is quite funny and it also explains why i like dance music... ;-)           Something 'bout those little pills - Unreal the thrills they yield - Until they kill a million brain cells - I'm going down to... Sash is a Trance producer..... Ecuador is a old (and good) track.....
And I'm not talking about "normal" trance artist my friend... I'm talking about pure Dance Music artists!!!!!! heheheheeheh....... the old ones.....

I think that you won't find this, but if you wanna, try Undercover - Every breath you take (The Police remixed classic).... such a nice kick! Just an example.......           "Who is this doin this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin?"

Yes my man! Same project.... but Baker Street was like a House track...... a classic one too!
"Every breath you take" (1998, I think...) is very different from this work.... it's very Pop, like Undercover at all.... but pay attention in the kick.....           "Who is this doin this synthetic type of alpha beta psychedelic funkin?"

about the salad thing, psytrance became like a salad only lately (1 or 2 years) cuz imo the artists are looking for different directions to evolve. before that psytrance was pretty much a unique genre and wasn't influnced by so many styles.

about the dance music thing i can't commecnt cuz i dont know sh*t about this kind of music           REHAB is for quitters

I really don't find any similitude between them... Notice if you always search for them you may find some... We live in a world which is full of casualties. And a bass is no more than a bass. Just my opinion of course.

Take first Platipus compilations for example : Robert Miles and Union Jack and Art of Trance - all shared their place on the same discs. Those volumes are great !!!
Me, personally, can find similiarity beween some GOA themes and DREAM tunes ...
