hello everyone,
I am zack, as you know i am new to this forum in fact to psytrace, but i have been learning and producing music since 2 years.
I switched over to psy trace recently and i have been searching this forum for about tho weeks now .... this forum is amazing, i gathered a wealth of information about starting out new psytrace track. its about time i get some feedback.
this is my first psy trace track

I also produce hip hop so i wanted to mix psy trace and hip hop together, so this is my first attempt.. doing that

Hehe!
I think hiphop and psytrance will never meet in a good way... maybe some trippy triphop...
the psy attempt was okej, but you need to listen more to psy and work hard..

It is totaly do-able... Psy-hop baby!
It is alive and well , soon to be neuro-hop, hip hop double speed!
I am supposed to start a track with Cinder Vomit like this soon...

I think hip hop is alot about deep basses and slow beats, too fast and it will kill the groove...
i dont think the word hiphop should be involved at all, maybe electro beats.. but i guess you call it what you want =)
i wont argue with you...

Hip hop(like all types of music) is about beat structure, hip hop is very close to Breaks but with more groove.
I agree with the little to no vocals is key to keeping the psy vibe though.
I'd love to hear what youve done like this Zero Blade.

lol yeah you got that right,i need to listen more psy trance tracks... can anyone suggest me some great psy trace artist...i prefer full-on and dark

oh yeah i was influenced by "infected mushroom" very much . its weird but i like that track

yeah! totally without vocals keeps it authentic but i think
that rule can be broken but not too often
well i think that psy + hiphop can be called crunk style ...as freeflow said
but i guess you call it what you want

i am working on finishing the track ...... the most challanging part of the track i am currently facing
i usually produce hip hop and (now) psytrace in fl studio.
but i have heard lot of reviews about ableton in fact i have tried the demo version, i found it is better then fl studio.
i think fl studio is for hip hop .
so what do you guys think? |
