Hey, excellent track man ! The production is real tight, especially for the kick+bass combo. The melodies are good, nice use of FX here and there... I really like the opening trancy melody at :26. You should perhaps put a flange or a filter on the main lead and "twist" it's sound by manually playing with them and automating to get a more psychedelic sound as right now it sounds a bit too anthemy, and perhaps add a more variation in the melodies... but this is nit-picking (adding some delay might give it a more trippy psy sound as well). I love the end, nice pad and buildown. But you should rework that melody that kicks in at 8:09 , it either doesn't last long enough and is a bit too loud and pronounced for an ending melo , or it should not be introduced at all at that point. Impressive work overall ! Those basslines and beats are killaaargh as they say

Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

Wow!!

Thanks for the replies

Well, i agree with all your opinions! its good - but not special, but when i was almost done with this track, my cpu where going like 90% and higher in cubase, so i had to just finish it off. Looking forward to getting powercore, UAD, and Monitors at least - so i can make more professional tracks.

Anyhow, im glad that the kick&bass combo is good, thinking about its done on headphones

I dont think i will go any further with this one. i just want to proceed with a new one, and try to make whats good, even better. But right now i only have headphones to work on, and i am pretty tired of that

in March 2006 i get money to buy really nice gear. Then the fun begins

Hey, Rinkadink made the awe-inspiring "Rabbit from Darkside" entirely with headphones and a laptop... gear is not that important           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

did he also mix it on headphones? i dont think its recommended to work that way. The headphones i use also colour the sound too much.
