With over 16 years of formal music training, including audio engineering and instruction on a wide variety of instruments, Matte Gillard has been writing electronic music since 1995, and has been performing live for the past nine years. Nystagmus' debut album, The Immaculate Perception, has been released on SunDance Records, and several of his compositions can be found on compilations from international labels, including BooM! Records and U.S.T.A. Records. Matte's music takes psychedelic trance to a new level, combining complex melodies, hypnotic rhythms, driving beats, with a touch of humor to produce a uniquely hallucinatory experience for minds and dancefloors alike!

One of the northwest’s most prolific producers, Fernando Arquines comes from an improvisational jazz background and is known for his ability to translate thought into sound. As well as playing at several festivals this summer, Andy has kept busy with releases on Elektrik Orgasm and SunDance Records, with a debut album scheduled to be released this year. Making his first Portland appearance in almost a year, Andy’s signature funky twisted psytrance will get the dancefloor grooving!

Makoi

Groovy and richly textured, Makoi’s seamless and intricate mixes always tell a story. Makoi strives to disappear into the mix and maximize the potential of the overlapping tracks. That is, to mix two songs together so seamlessly the dj is forgotten, while simultaneously bringing elements from those songs together in a way that heightens their dramatic frequencies and textures. Mac’s set of funky progressive psytrance will be the perfect beginning of our journey.
Electric Mayhem
(Sidetrakkt – Portland)
Founder of Sidetrakkt, Dan introduced psytrance to Pittsburgh, PA through his dj sets and as an event organizer for five years before relocating to the northwest. Known for his diverse selection of music, his sets are carefully crafted to reflect and enhance both the time of night and the energy on the dancefloor. With his closing morning set, Dan will bring our journey to an end, but also a new beginning…

Syanesthesia is an awesome word. It means "A condition in which one type of stimulation evokes the sensation of another, as when the hearing of a sound produces the visualization of a color".
Very apt for a psychedelic experience !!!
Great line-up too, all the best.

Here is some updated info. (Is there any way to edit posts?)
Journey will begin at 10 p.m. and end at 7 a.m.
$10 - $15 (sliding scale) at the door.
Event will take place at Center Space (420 SE 6th Ave. in Portland). There is a link for directions at www.sidetrakkt.com

Here are the timeslots for Psynaesthesia. This event will feature many diverse styles of psychedelic trance, and each set will sound quite unique from the others, making for a nice journey.
