Hi guys, the past few days i was thinking i needed to do some optimizing and organizing of my workflow. So i made a kick drum rack so i can make kicks fast & easy but i can still have a decent amount of flexibility when using samples.
The amount of different kicks you can make with this rack is crazy
39 diffrent body types
30 different transient types
30 different accent types
+ the additional procesing (Fatass knob, Release & Compression)
Youtube compressed the video so the sound is a bit crappy The download link is under the video on youtube
well this is the screenshot of the settings im using on it
Slow attack, Release 1/16, Threshold setup so it doesnt cut more than 6db of the kick, and then the dry wet knob is the one that gets controled by the COMP knob (max 50% wet)
thank you glad you like it guys, and i hope you get some use out of it would like to hear it in tracks, so please link back
it could be done in any other DAW as far as i know but not as simple as in ableton you lose the macro knob option
just import the samples in battery or any other drum machine and then combine the kicks using different midi notes or, or you dont have to use drum machines at all, just two audio channels and put the body sample on one and the transient sample on the other I have done it in a rack just because its dead simple and i wanted to speed up my workflow.

Do this trick with the basslines also and make a instrument rack with the two and wow an kick bass machine ready to use boom..........
its a bit more work to make a rack with basslines that would actually sound cool in almost any setting and at the same time to give a couple of different sounds but i will look into it www.psilocybian.com / www.facebook.com/psilocybian
