oh yes, this is the first test run of the greenman soundsystem with full vibrations resonating off of the stars and desert floor. i'm definitely glad to finally hear it outdoors as i've only played on it at your club in massachusetts.

and of course our neighbor got a good earful when testing it at the casa based on his violent fist pumpin this baby should be plenty loud enough.

i'll definitely have a new tune ready for this show as well, the latest piece from me and mubali titled "chuck you, Farley" its almost finished, just need to wrap it up this week and master it. looking forward to seeing all the happy peoples.

~Jeto - right now its looking that way

we have been searching out BLM desert locations off of the 10 fwy east of Indio but of all the beautiful canyons we have come across some of the roads were not for all cars.

so right now we may be resorting to private property rather than BLM. it doesnt really matter to me where exactly we go, I just don't want anybody getting stuck on the roads;) like arahat said, this is the first time we are testing this sound system, so there definitely be more parties and more locations to scout out later;) next time we want to go out it will probably be off the 40 somewhere, I love that area.

ok so I will post direx very soon once we make the final decision

Hello to all desert psy freaks.....
here are the direx for this weekend.
these are not the same direx for timespell.

At Kramer Junction (58 and the 395) you must reset your odometer and head North on the 395 for 6.8 miles. Then make a very sharp right onto an unmarked dirt road which heads south for a couple of hundred yards before turning east again.

*Note: if you see a blue "Call Box" you have gone too far. Turn around and head south on I-395 for about 0.2 miles. If you see overhead power lines alongside the dirt road you have also gone too far. The correct dirt road has a stop sign.

Follow the dirt road east for 6.8 miles. You will pass three red tires buried in the sand on your left, then a bullet ridden diamond shaped sign (this will be the SECOND bullet ridden diamond shape sign you pass) just before the next turn to your left.

Proceed on this road for 0.8 miles, make a right then drive another 3.0 miles east. Then turn right (south) for 0.8 miles and right again (west) for 0.5 miles. There are two small sign posts here. Turn right into the parking and camping area.

*Note: The road you just came in on defines the perimeter of the property. Please do not park or camp outside of this area. The property is 40 acres so there will be plenty of space to park and camp.

see you there           info/tourdates/psy

so yeah...
this party was f'in awesome. i showed up around 12:30 and caught the end of Greenman's set. it was great. then bodhi went on and spun some awesome stuff for about 3 hours... really really excellent, my idea of a pretty darn perfect night time set, sounded like 152-154 bpm, kept my heart racing. a sizable crowd showed up, definitely a strong LA representation, no northerners, as i expected since it's quite far and they all came down for timespell the week before. i should add at this point that Greenman's sound system is REALLY great, andi cant wait to hear it more at future Psy Circle parties.

so on with the music. someone i didn't recognize played some MoE style traumatics for a little while but he had no idea how to mix or was to f'd up to do so and i think he was off after a half hour. Hydro came on and spun one of the best sets i've ever heard, i kid you not. 4 hours of my life where i felt like i had been blown back to the stone age and was just figuring out the wheel. a great selection of sunrise and twilight tracks. can't rave enough about this, i sincerely hope Tom gets booked for more sunrise sets!!! after that, someone i didn't recognize came on and played the only "progressive psy" i've ever liked in my life. very not-cheesy and honestly psychedelic. at this point i was extremely spent from 7 hours straight of sobre (well, stoned out of my gizzard but sobre besides that) dancing and decided to sit down and eat a sandwich, chill with friends, etc.

all in all i'd say this was a two thumbs up party and i will attend all future events held by Psy Circle. they totally did the mojave justice and clearly know what they're doing. can't complain about the price, either. happy anniversary Bodhi and Rachel, i love you guys. oh and also i think i like this patch of land better than the Timespell one... seems more flat and deserty with very very nice rock formations in the slight distance (def. hikable). oh and thanks to Victor for bringing firewood otherwise we woulda been screwed.
