In this track, starting from 3.30 and although I listen to it on 10cm-Speakers, there is a little bit of subwoofer-athmosphere! Its the work of a genius, imo.

You can cut your lower frequency limit in half with a psychoacoustic effect: Lets assume, you have a bass sound of 60 hz, consisting of signals with 60hz, 120 hz, 180hz and 240hz. Your psychoacoustic effect ads 90hz, 150hz and 210hz - and your brain completes it by adding the missing 30hz signal - although your speakers can't reproduce a 30 hz signal!

And how would that psychoaccoustic effect work, meaning what exactly is it?
Please explain!           Upavas - Here And Now (Sangoma Rec.) new EP out Oct.29th, get it here:

Very old track but a hit at his time for sure . Today (2011) Can tell you that theres nothing special (For me) in this track or that kind of music . You cant compare those tunes from the far past to the open sound of today (technology) This is totaly an deferent things . Must say today this track sound realy boring and dry in all the parameters .

maybe nothing special but this track could still kicks 90% of todays full on ass with impact on the dancefloor when mixed at the right time.

the track is a timeless classic!

concerning the "psychoacoustic effect": i'm not quite sure i understand what you mean here, but even if it worked like that, wouldn't it be that you hear but don't feel those low freq's when you for instance are standing in front of a nice, large sound system (which does happen quite a lot when listening to psytrance ). so the bass wouldn't have such an impact as if it really used the low frequencies...?

this track has one thing that fullon doesnt and that makes all the difference in the world. it has a melody folks. does this not matter in music anymore? sure its not a great difficult melody but its definitely classic goa sounding melody. full on usually only has a little tad of melody during the peak of the track.           http://www.youtube.com/user/trawhi (tutorials)

timeless classic indeed, espescialy when taking in consideration that more than 80% of todays psy is pure shit!!, it may be dry in its signal but its very wet in its soul.

actually he's right - the brain does assess pitch based on harmonics - the entire series, not just the lowest pitch. i.e. if the harmonics of a sound match a pitch lower than the fundamental, you'll still hear that pitch.

hipass filter (with a steep slope) something extremely low with a very transparent filter and no resonance and you'll hear this same effect, albeit with some likely saturation/colour from the filter.           Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room. ~Kurt Vonnegut

not sure, we have to feel the infra bass massage our neurons it s not only about hearing .

damn i m listening some old transwave ,dunno if it s only me but today full on barely make me move my feets but when i hear some good goa i have a hard time to stick in place lol their is just so much energy . just a kick a good bassline it s sound more groovy than everyhting we hear today..i think it s getting everyhting linear and robotic with no drift ,no dynamic, it killed all the groove.

I do not agree at all. I think its only a matter of taste, for me goa is very boring. Nothing is happening, and often its the same kind of slow sweeping melodic lead which carry on the whole song.

There is bad and good music, for me id say this is when the psy trance have really gotten in its place. Sure psy trance is not what it used to be, its better!. Its more developed, the possibility is greater.

Don't get it ...
Is there a name to that effect so one can look for it in detail?           From all the things I lost, that sandwitch cost me most :)
