This remix is a shame ! He used the infected samples melted with the universal recipe of Trance
(breaks, stomping kick, psychedelic notes)...
The result is a track more effective on dancefloor than the original but the track have no soul and you forget it the the party is over. |

the remix has an effect on a party. i personaly prefer the remix cuz its more psychedelic and the main melody appears once and in the right moment rather then start and end the track. but still not one of my favs.

It's not better than the original.
The Original has really great parts which the remix doesn't include.
But the remix is a dancefloor hit indeed!

I do not think it can be compared to the original...it is a completely different track, even if coming from the same base. Some of the same samples and similar themes, but the entire flow of it is different. Notice that Lestat and Nomad do not call it a "remix", but "tribute to infected mushroom"...I think that is on purpose.
Like it or not, the song does really have a brilliant effect on the dancefloor. I heard Lestat play it in a DJ set here in Austin and the reaction was immense. It was definitely made with the dancefloor in mind and it shows. :)

First, I think this name is just a commercial movement - It's a remix not a tribute!
Second, its purpose goes well with the Program Change's purpose - Full On on the dancefloor. |
