Judging by the couple hundred 2oo6 albums I have listened to, it seems ( and i know a lot here can agree) most artists now are just putting crap in the synths and calling it psy. Now i know every time someone comes around like this, but I do have to say there are some damn good stars popping up all over this year, but we have to recognise them. Some are dark, some are light. Double Impact's Analog Illusion actually inspired me to write this whole thing out.
Some artists are getting it great, but the good tracks are unreleased (Tokyo Tel Aviv, Anyone?)...Where could the year end up?           ohm - dance. Dance is active meditation. When we dance we go beyond thought, beyond mind and beyond our own individuality - to become one with the divine ecstacy with the cosmic spirit.

You've been a busy man then, checking out over 200 albums so far this year. Must be expensive?           ________________________

well, the amount of good albums a year always increases slightly - the problem is that bad albums are the one force of nature that does not follow the laws of thermodynamics. The self-perpetuating rise in bad music releases is soon approaching the commercial event horizon when it becomes the dominant force of the world's economy.

According to my calculations the vision of everyone in the world having a computer will have to be achieved by 2012, in accordance with the rise in the number of bad releases - everyone in the world should have a computer by then in order to be a darkpsy producer. Soon after, Nevada will be renamed "Steinberg State" and the only place totally unchanged will be Israel, where everyone is already producing and therefor this won't be much of a change.

Isn't it very logical when thinking about quality/quantity? In 2006, there's going to be released over 2-300 albums within this growing scene of ours. And when you have that many releases, it's impossible to have only quality releases. The more you release, the more crap will be released as well. But of course, there's a lot of GREAT releases so far in 2006. We humans just have a tendency to focus on the bad side. (Well, ate least we like to complain about it.)

So far in 2006 I'm very happy about the releases of Psykovsky and Furious to mention a few real psychedelic releases.

Welcome back Dr. Mez!
My poodle just got his own laptop with ASIO compatible sound card. I've installed Cubase Dog SL and he already has a contract with 5 dark psy labels for his tracks. He demanded to work with infra sonic monitors to suit his canine needs but i refused. As soon as he gets booked in Russia he'll have the money to work with monitors of his choice.           Everyone in the world is doing something without me

Pavel, I would really like to hear what your poodle is cooking up. Have him contact me for a possible collaboration when he thinks he's ready.

PS: I recommend "Hell Hound" as a possible artist name.
