from what i read on TripOut NY today, it sounds like house of trance/global trance is about to shut down permanently within the next couple of weeks. although i couldn't find anything on their website to confirm this announcement, it appears as though they are having a clearance sale to get rid of their inventory before they close their doors forever. another one bites the dust...

Previously "they" had been unpleasant to me 2 out of 3 times. But I went there 2 days ago, and this time the person was super nice. So they end their career batting .500 with me ;-).

The only reason they could close, is low profit.

well, this is the major problem in ny, everybody wants to make a lot of money,it's a rat race;
but if you are coming to it with different intentions, and your first goal it's to spread the culture (it's obvious you cannot make millions selling cd's), then something will come up;
the intentions of home of trance were always to make money of something they knew the best, trance, or you can put it another way, the only thing they knew;
there is no exuse for the prices of cd's they had in the store for years, there is no exuse for the same clothing they been selling for years for outrages 'club monaco' prices, there is no exuse for the vibe they tryed to dictate for a long time here in ny trance scene;
trance culture is a revolutionary movement, it's not about the profit and drugs, i mean revolutionary by all means, and where is revolution there is a personal and collective sacrifices; yeah, we can talk alot about revolution, here, but let's not, i think it's a subconsious topic that everybody is aware of; our idiology it's music and dance, our weapons is our live spirits, so let's stay ortodox to what we are realy believe!
are you ready for the revolution?
