Oh on another note, things that might have been considered psychedelic in the past can lose their psychedelicness simply because they have been done too often. (Copying is never psychedelic).
The 303 (in itself)? Hasn't been psychedelic for more than a decade. Here is something I created a decade or so ago that has probably lost it's a appeal a long time ago: http://puretone.nl/Loki-Mad_Bloggers_06m16bit.mp3

However, most guitarists that I know customize their sounds with pedals, effects, compression etc. Even amps and speakers can be modified. Look into Eddie Van Halen's rig and cusomized Marshall heads.

in rap music its also not really bout the lyrics.Its about selling out "cooolness" lol.If you meet rap musicians with deep maybe even psycccedelic beats and deep lyrics than its for sure underground.The formulas are the same for getting fame each one has to tell how cool or hard he is lol.
