I've seen that in Greece lots of people jumpping to a music style in other.

And this is one of the reasons that psy-trance is loosing fans in Greece.

Here we used to have many clubs to listen our music. And now we don't have a single club for psychedelic.

What happening in other countrys?           Imagination is more important than Knowledge!

Well in Israel, I guess the trance scene is just evolving every minute... Every friday you can notice new "productions" thats running partys, also we got several clubs all over the country thats playing nothing but trance! Just the oposite I guess?

I know a lot of people who used to listen to post 2000 goa albums (like myself) that shun the present psy-club-trance-sub6 scene and are more inclined to the likes of chillout/dub and progressive.

its probably about searching for something deeper than just a party.

i think the times of "its all about 145bpm" are slowly fading away. imo, its a damn good thing. psytrance needs a break to evolve... there are way too many eyes on the genre now.

Yes, very big problem!

Almost all psytrancers are gone, only few left. They are the last members of ITF!

If they go, what will happen? Will there be an existence after the ITF collabs?

yes folks its true, the scene is on its deathbed.... in fact its being sustained with a feeding tube for quite some time, but the feeding tube will be removed next thursday at 4:20pm. after that its just a matter of days before the scene dies.           "On the other hand, you have different fingers."

Finally a serious topic around.

For me Psy Trance is already on its last years of existance, the old artists are retiring from the music industry, some of them are into working on other music styles or using their skills on different tasks, old and established labels are closing down, the cd sales are falling down day by day, parties dont attract as many people as they used to in the past, the music coming out by new artists is mostly bad copy paste music or low production works, the majority of the new labels release music just to do that and build a name for themself in order to achieve some bookings for their owners without giving any special attention to what they release (same goes to most new artists),the vibe in parties is becoming 'colder' year by year, the new generation listening to psy trance is more interested on the parties and their drug process rather the music itself, people spend more time on the internet downloading new music everyday and saying bullshit in the forums rather listening to the music they download (adsl lines are faster than they can handle...) or spending some time to get educated on the history of the music and its artists, bad promoters trying to make easy money all around the globe and many many more bad things taking place into the psy trance scene that will result in its death in the near future the way i see it.

Will that death be bad after all?I dont know,my ancestors used to say that in order to rebuild something you have to destroy it first, like the phoenix story that gets burned and gets reborned by its ashes.

Is Psy Trance loosing fans?Well it has certainly lost a big part of me for some time now.....

i think it's just about tastes changing.... a lot of people who have been into it for a while are gravitating towards the progressive end of it now, thanks to people like Freq, Antix, Elastic, Sonify etc who have been (IMO) producing some of the more innovative music lately.

Likewise with the dark style, that's been 'stealing' people from the fullon scene in the same way... Trishula, Parvati etc have been consistently great over the last 12 months, while labels like BNE/Tip/Alchemy/Nano haven't.

Hopefully -- HOPEfully -- there'll be another fullon spark at some point in the future which will bring things back. But I can't see this happening as long as teenage producers keep thinking they can mimic Astral Projection by downloading a load of cracked software of Torrentspy....
