In the few short years since its inception, Psychedelic trance has spread its twisted tentacles across our mother Earth with remarkable speed. The extent can be gauged by simply glancing @ the countries in the 'Trance in the World' section on this forum.
Why do you think this sound has mushroomed all over the planet so fast?
What do you think are the advantages of having such a widely scattered audience?
How do you think we can better use this network (?) to benefit our community (?)?

why? no lyrics. you create your own journey and meaning. also, dance is universal.
what are the advantages? global community spirit
how can we use this to benefit our community? local crews can give back to their respective communities by way of charity (fund drives), action initiatives (picking up trash at the beach the party was held at, leaving it cleaner than before) and just promoting good vibes in general (a safe and positive place for people to gather) |

I believe that psy resonates with certain people who have an intrinsic empathy toward other creatures and the earth in general. There are good people out there and I think that they are attracted to the non-commercial, caring, open community type atmosphere that psy provides. |

I've been thinking about this for a while...
I think Trance is one of the biggest, ( not to say "The biggest") (music) movement of our times...You can see ppl from so much different other groups and movements... What I mean is that, in a party, you can see punks, freaks, goths, rockers, ravers, etc... You can spot a big mixture of ppl and cultures... I think thats why it's so beautifful, and why it have spread all around the world so quickly.
But I have a question that I keep asking my self.
Are all those ppl in the parties because of the sound and the expirience?? Or have the drugs a major roll in bringing ppl to the parties?
For some drugs are a channel of freedom and a different experinces... means of self knowledge or what ever everyone wants to make of it...
But for others ( maybe too many), the parties are just a reason to take drugs and get high for some hours...
It maybe just me and my inexperience...
Maybe some of you can enlight me on this subject...
I know, from own experience, that many different ppl have trance in comun, and that it leads to other kind of knowledge between them...
It's good that's so big... as long as it doesn't turn main stream, and it's not the bassline on Britney Spears' next album 
Keep it coming and joing ppl for the best reasons

it is the biggest movement of our times as rightly said before.
there are so many of us from diff countries, backgrounds bobbing our heads on the same tunes...
we know its coming, we will make it.
for its time we wake up to the reality.

1) vibes & ability to travel while staying home
2) good networking, meet people from different horizons in casual environment
3) too much prejudice at the moment to make much of a difference, although isolated projects (like tsunam victim cd) are starting to open the outside world to our goals |

WOW !
just look at the beauty of this thing we are part of...
look how all these perspectives share some kind of belief that this is all about something GOOD !
and it should be used for something GOOD !
(cept for autocon ... but he does make a good point)
maybe this is what it means to have the Goa Spirit !
Dance is universal... it resonates through all... it brings together people from worlds apart and unites them on the same point in space & time... to share a smile... to bob their heads to same tunes... to share a perfect moment of this experience called life.
We must keep joining people for the best reasons !
