Psychedelic - Parties or Gathering?

Hi all i just wanna know if it is just a party nowadays or is it a gathering of lovely souls an exchange of energies which become one with the universe for those moments...For me it is more than a party but i wanna know if you feel the same?
Living the psychedelic itself makes life easier doesn't it?

well, thix is a very complicated theme...cause nowadays, very few parties can b called gathering....i think they still exixt, but not so often, cause, people see thix only as music (party), and it´s only what they see...but there is much more, than only music...the people, the expiriences, everything that sorrounds u...is a unique gathering
i think u call it the way u like, depending on the way u see things...if u see more than just music...well, i think u can call it gathering...(my opinion of course)

Here is a thesis that Goa Gil proposed and I find it to be a very interesting read. It completly covers what you are describing. It's quite a long document, but you will be rewarded by what you read.

Thanks for your replies my friends, i also have read that Thesis of Goa Gil and it is the sort of thing i talk about unfortunately nowadays the parties are more mainstreme but when are we going to decide to make a party that's really and anounciation? For me through the music we will find our future and our happiness but we have to decide to do it not just talk!

ganjagil: there are still gatherings, but it takes some efforts to find them or reach them. you might want to look in less logical places, away from big names and larger events,. the continuous stream of "easy to reach" events we're experiencing now has to affect the way we contribute to these events, how we act, what we learn.

Nowadays it's partying - even in the case of the more underground organizers. If it was a gathering, then it would be made as a non-profit project, with only local DJs, made just for fun and totally improvised, without flyers or advertising, just word of mouth. If you want to gather a bunch of friends - you don't make them pay for it... maybe just bring something to cover the costs, and then they'll get more than their money's worth anyways.

well since most parties nowdays are becoming mainstream the crowd that they attract does not have the spirit that is requeired.they are just there to get high and listen to some music nothing more

IMO, theres no more gatherings like in the old days, with the Goa spirit, that beautiful vibe....
Now a days the parties are just people getting trashed.....
