I dont think you got my point or maybe I am not expressing myself clear enough. I'll try again. I mean it as a overall picture. Of course there's some psychedelic artists left but the overall scene in Greece mostly have Full On parties which I believe are a long way from psychedelic. At least it's the impression I get when I talk to people from Greece and what I can imagine it to be like now (compared to the rest of the world).
As for the artists/dj's you have mentioned I only see a few as being psychedelic. Simon and Kox Box are for sure psychedelic even though Kox Box (now Frank E alone) went a bit more pop lately (we'll see with his new CD). But most of those mentioned artists/DJ's are Progressive, Full-on or in between. Not really psychedelic the way I consider it psychedelic (it's hard to explain it). But some progressive music do come close when it come to put people in a state of trance. Simply because some of it goes back to the roots of repeating beats. The original way also done by tribes (drumming) in many generations.
I am not aware of if you were a part of Greece's scene prior to 1998? From 1994 - 1998? If not then it's maybe difficault to explain it to you  |

Hey Kristian!Psychedelic died in Greece at 98-99 espesually in Athens with all that israeli uplifting trance.The things in north Greece was much more better and the most of that names that absolut zero mentioned had something good to proove that age But these days unfortunatelly and north Greece corrupted...And I say it because I believe that the style that we call israeli full on (you don't need to be israeli in case of creating israeli full on) has its roots in israeli uplifting.Astrix and many other israeli full on artists are x-verropoula (comes from that uplifting scene which had been promoted by Mike Verros)  You have to search a lot to find trance music which it can put people in a state of trance

I played there many times It was a great club with very nice people. Sakis was a very nice guy. It's a shame he got drug busted after a tip from some other jealous promoters in Thessaloniki. I am sure they planted the drugs there. He did not deserve that jail-time  |

And you want to make the rest 95% of todays trancers look like fools cause they don't much your taste?

excus me Mr. eternal motion but you sound like a very angry person. Who said that those young persons are stupid? and who said that they are not allowed to have their taste? Nobody! So dont jump to conclusions so fast!
This is just a debate in a calm and friendly atmosphere. Please dont ruin it with thetypical Greek way of ruining posts
But I dont agree when you say that organisers have to follow what people want. Do you knwo what people want or do you just think you know? In my opinion a organiser also need to educate people, surprise people and take some chances and be ready to try out new things. And how do you know for a fact that people only like Full On ? Have you yourself asked 1300 people? I doubt it

Hey Mr Tim xexex now you make like a small child.Well,yes maybe mike verros gave a lot of things in the past in dance scene and I respect him about this.But when he realize that he can be rich with this he took very wrong ways.The same for you now.Yes I have problem with skazi and many others because they destoeyed the scene.You of course you don't have any problems with them because your pockets are flood with money when they perform here.You are commercial and you mentioned it in your post "Promoters my friend are following ppl's orders" heh yes follow the mass and you will save the scene as you have mentioned it in other topic.So don't be ridiculus we are not stupid neither persons with bad feelings.As for the people I can't respect them...Some years ago a lot of people often were saying to me bad things about the music that I like.Now that people who came from mpouzoukia and decadance scene (and most of them for drugs) are destroying the scene.. As for your friend Astrix heh I can't forget tracks like valirous,1st (as private taste),massive and many more.He started his ownn sound and the rest israeli's who wanted to be popular copying his style..etc.

I rememeber MIke Veros very well. He was the typical mafia type of Promoter at that time. He did everything to destroy other partes than his own. He called the Police many times and told them that there would be drugs at this and that party. We found out because we had a "insider" at the Athens Police.
I would be careful to say that he is responsibleof bringing psytrance to Greece. I recall many much better organisers at that time making beautiful parties all over Greece. Nikos "Liquid Love", Acid Club and their outdoor parties in the North (First big festivals at Halkadiki), Johnny (Cant rememebr his org.name), the ones doing the Drama Mountain Festivals and many many more! Those were the true pioneers. NOT Mike Veros! |
