I believe that psychedelic music in greece and expecially in athens dies. Only in thessalonikh i see some good tries but i dont know if it continues this for long time. i wish to continue the good work. many people hear to this music, but there's No places to have a party, only prives. and the cops are the biggest problem. but why? twra thumithikane meta apo tosa years na mas desoun? eleos. people we must do something. electronic music and expecially psychedelic is not an art. is a technology! Friends do something. we all can support it. has enybody any good idea???? we are many people who can support a big party in athens i think. do something! we dont need money only music! and sorry about my english. stupid. |

hello guys...
i think that we should speak with someone in the government...if our government don't like drugs then go and chase the drug dealers...why they chase our music?you have to be very idiot to chase a kind of music in order to stop drug dealers...it's like if you don't like violence in football then don't allow people to go on football games...it's the famous "ponaei kefali, kospei kefali"...we should speak with Karamanlis or we should make a big party in Syntagma...a give trance a chance party... |

In my opinion , the problem is the nightclub owners(you know who they are)which are trying to vanish the scene.the reason is obvious.at their places the entrance is aprox. 25 euros to see a greek resident play(u know who they are to katestimeno) ,so the profit margins are very high.so why bother to bring an international artist from overseas to play for the same money?anyway...

My opinion is that if you dont want the cops in our place...you can fix it..The big problem is that some organizers...-u know what i mean- want the biggest stuff in money to catch and they dont look the real meaning of a party...I am saying this for something like 30 euros for a set of Goa gil..., 25 euros for a set of johnny sin...
Those actions f...ck our music and terminate our genre!!!

Hasen't psychedlic music (trance) been dead in Greece since the arrival of Full On in 1998-99? Or do we just have different views about what psychedelic music is? |

What I mean is, and please correct me if I am wrong, that around 1998 the scene in Greece turned from psychedelic deep music to more fluffy Full On (mostly brought by all the Isralie DJ's that took over in Greece).
I cant say I know much about the scene in Greece today but if Greece is as I suspect quite similar to Israel then the majority of music played in Greeece is Full On. Am I right? Well in my opinion Full On got nothing to do with psychedelic trance. It's much more commercial minded and a lot less trippy with mostly easy approchable sounds and in some cases straight forward, even at time cheesy, melodies or Anthems.
So that's why I asked how people interpretate psychedelic music (trance) because of the original poster claim that psychedelic music is about to die out in Greece.
In my opinion psychedelic music died out a long time ago in Greece (and many other parts of the world). That's of course according to my view about what psychedelic music is

from 1998 dj's and projects in my town: Talamasca,Haldolium,Absolum,Alien Project,Tegma,Reefer Decree,Simon Posford,Human Blue,James Monroe,GMS,Etnica,Native Radio,Logic bomb,Raja ram,Dominic,Pots,Beat bizzare,Xp Aerodance,joti sidhu,Atmos,Mark allen,Chakra,Paul taylor,Tim schuldt,Bamboo forest,X dream,Kox box,Magnetrixx,Goa gil,Antraro,Hux Flux,Delta,Necton,Neuromotor,Tristan,Planet ben and many more,
all this artist have play in my area from 1998 till 2001,
so when you say that you have different views about psychedelic trance.......tell me a psychedelic trance artist from that season.
