Since that thread jeto is talking about is old i just have to say that Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas is superb. You should also try classics like "Easy Rider" and "Trip".
Another movie that has it's edge is Pleasantville....it seems silly at first but it actually develops quite nicely...... |

yeah Fear and Loathing is really foreva fresh - i bet its a lot from Johny Depp personal ability to act, being in a character fully absorbed. He is a great talent.
one of the latest good movies i saw was "the truth about charlie" - commercial, though nice indeed.
i also liked "Talk 2 Her" by Pedro Almadovar - i would not call this movie psy, though its touched me.

anyway, the most psychadelic movie i ever seen is the musical Hair.
piece of art.

For me it has to be
Willy Wonka´s Chocolate Factory.
(what´s up with the dwarfs?)
VERY Psy and colorful.
Also some o Tim Burton´s movies such as Sleepy Hollow (VERY psy literature) and Edward Scissorhands for sure. |
