Hello everyone!
Can you pelase reply to this topic?
i'm a bit confused here.
i don't get some things.
WHY does everyone who claims to want love, happiness and spirit is more or less against Christianity and the Bible?
If we live in the APOCALYPSE days, why does everyone is against religion?
Why does Psychedelic culture differentiates itself form Christianity?
I FEEL these things are the same, don't you?
Why does psy today moves into the darkness to find the light and doesn't walk in the light?

Psychedelic culture is different from Christianity because the first is based on music and the second on God.
Music is just there for people to have fun and dance to it while religion (for those who believe in any religion) is something more spiritual and personal and more complicated.
Noone is going to get enlightened by listening to Hallucinogen and Tristan and noone will fall into total darkness by listening to Xenomorph and Parasense.Music,thankfully,is not so complicated.
As about people being against religions well to be honest i think that much more people are into religion than those who dont care about it,actually atheists or agnostics (like my self being a religious agnostic) are just a tiny minority into this world as far as i know.
And since you mentioned love,hapiness and spirituality well one doesnt have to be a Christian to believe in all these things,Buddhism also represents the same things and to be honest i dont remember any Buddhists to begin any Crusades or to destroy any ancient civilization like the Christians did with the Ancient Greece or to get any money by any government like the greek orthodox church is doing in our country.
So why being a Christian instead of a Buddhist?
I will quote the one and only Peter Ustinov to end this very interesting but rather unrelated with music discussion.
"I believe that the Jews have made a contribution to the human condition out of all proportion to their numbers.I believe them to be an immense people.Not only have they supplied the world with two leaders of the stature of Jesus Christ and Karl Marx,but they have even indulged in the luxury of following neither one nor the other"
And Karl Marx for those who dont know him well is the one that claimed that Religion is the opium of the people

christianity is not one thing but many, as it has been repeatatively re-formed through the years..
if for you christianity is peace love unity and respect you can say that this music and christianity have about the same basic beliefs.
but for me any music is to pleasure us...and any religion is to get some beliefs if you have lack of. -_-_-_-_-_-_

1209-1244. Pope Innocent III calls a brutal and bitter internal Crusade (the Albigensian Crusade) against the Cathars in southern France (the Languedoc region; Albi was a Cathar stronghold). The Cathars (Greek for "pure") practiced old Gnostic-Christian beliefs that apparently came by way of Bosnia in the 400-500's. The Cathars were pacifists who had adopted a Gnostic view due to the corruption of the local Catholic clergy; their belief that everything in the material world was an evil manifestation of the mind of the devil (the fallen son) implied that Jesus, in the material world, could not have been really good or a god. This was the first significant heresy within established Catholicism; the Dominican order was formed to preach against the Cathars and the Inquisition was formed. "Kill them all; God will know his own." (hey, where have we heard that?) [1] . Supposedly the last Cathar was burned in 1244, but apparently some today practice Catharism. (??) Say, let's have some "mushroom spirit" to know his own !!!

No problem at all Absolut,the guy/girl has a thought and shared it with us,thats not bad at all.
Interesting discussion if you ask me although i dont think that it has to do much with music as i explained in my original post,thats just me though.
If you got something to contribute then feel free to do so otherwise no need to post anything at all.
P.S The only problem i can see is that Houston doesnt include an i and i correct you on that because i noticed that you use this expression quiet a lot

hello there!!!
man first off all never put christianity with psychedelic....
cause if you know the history, the cristians before 2000 years come tu greece and destroy all old culture of greece include psychedelia and they kill 20.000 pagans (real greek people )and what they do they build churches on the top of the most biutifull temples of greece ..
so is mistake tu equal the christianity with the psychedelic ...!!! |
