i think one of the best psychedelic movies i´ve ever seen is...

the doors...with val kilmer and meg ryan....

the movie shows nearly perfect how it feels when you use drugs..lol

also nice:trainspotting, fear and loathing in l.a.,matrix,and so on...

if somebody haven´t seen the doors he should look forward to watch this movie quickly...i have done this nearly 20 times           love & peace to everyone:))

So true !!!!!!!!!! This animation movie featuring the Beatles is totally twisted !!
So much nice stuff to be sampled there

In fact I had seen it at school with my english teacher a long time ago and it was broadcasted this evening on a 'cultural' channel.

A few pots and i was watching it !!

Peace!

I've watched many movies that were mentioned in this thread, and I really enjoyed your recommendations (altough almost none of the movies were indeed PSYCHEDELIC).
A few of my favorites are:
Brazil
Fight Club
Ninja Scrool
Princess Mononokee (or however you spell it)
12 Monkeys
Clockwork Orange
Pi
Star Trek 4 - Don't remember the name
Star Trek 8 - First Contact
Sevtrek - Pus in Boots (A must, if you can get it)
Planet of the apes (the one from 1968)
Requiem For a Dream
Memento
Cube
Trainspotting
Pulp Fiction
Ghost in the shell
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
eXistenZ
Clerks (the movie and the cartoon)

Damn, it's actually more than a few

But from all those movies, there is only one which I think is truly psychedelic: Liquid Crystal Vision.

Last Night I saw a documentary about Streets/Snow/Air/Sea Sports with FANTASTIC realisation, totally crazy & overskilled people and very nice Music...

... with for exemple 'SummerTime' by Deep Dive Corporation while a breathtaking Snow FreeRide Session featuring a sweet girl who turned me upside down.. she is also divine at Kite-Surfing..

I don't know if it is distributed worldwide... hope so for that U people could discover it :

"ELEVATION" by THIERRY DONARD

Two hours of sublime landscapes, great sounds & pure sensations !!

Enjoy !!           .

Well, great movies you guys have mentioned.
But don't forget Alice in wonderland is originally a book, which was written as a criticism on the british parliament, in a disguise of a children book.

Some has mentioned Koyaanisqatsi, which is a wonderful movie, and there's also Powaqqatsi, from 1988, 'from the family'.
Also Microcosmos is quite psychedelic.. it describes 24 hours in the lives of bugs, plants and such.
Arizona Dream? it has some really crazy stuff in it, plus Goran Bregovic's beautiful soundtrack.
and Birds, one of Hitchcock's horrors?

There's also The Shine (the part when he falls off the piano..).
Oh, and the neverending story!!

I can't think of anything else right now, since you've mentioned most of the familiar
and good psychedelic (or not exactly psychedelic) movies.
cheers

By the way, the Movie (as well as Concerts, Interviews, Booklets, Books etc etc) also help(ed) me to understand better my MASTERPIECE number 1, since a long time, concerning MUSIC.
Without a doubt that's quite Roger Waters "influenced", it's his own "story" but it's also a common "story".

To sum it up:
Since we born, slowly we began to "build" an "Interior Wall" in that each brick represents a different fear that conditions our behaviour not letting us to be...OURSELVES.
But comes the time that we feel a strong need for a change, which is represented when they begin to destroy "The Wall", that's when we must break with those interior fears/ghosts/complexs, in order to be...OURSELVES.

That's mine interpretation of the main msg that Pink Floyd wanted to transmit with that MAGNIFICENT Work !!! !!! !!!          - BEing mySELF
