hey GTN waz up?
heard the track ,well the production and the mix is pretty good ,the bass maybe a needs a little bit work but its sounds pretty good , one thing that bothered me is the sounds you pick they are too "normal" try exploring new twisted sounds i think that will make this track 10 times better.
anyway this isnt my style its too melodic i like it more dark and psycadelic.
good work, keep it up!!

it would be very nice if u could explain what u mean in a lil more detail ..
all these sounds u heard are already layered man ..
and im still working on improving my sound design ...
but pls help me if u can ..

i think the biggest tip i could give you is just tweek the knobs on a synth, learn what all the knobs do and know how they change the sound,
use pitch bends and filter lfo and try making the sound dianamic and interesting i think hearing twisted sounds and trying to imitate them is also a good way to learn.
i espesially like doofs twisted sound like zirkin ,and blanka maybe they are not your style but if you want to know what twisted is thats them

Ok
1) The first arp like sound could be processed with an automated COMB filter
2) The pad at 0:14 could be processed with a chorus, an sterero enhancer, some EQ, reverb and lower its level... (I would use another pad patch)
3)The bass drum is nice, though try to experiment with BD layers.
4)The bass is not expectacular, but it fits (I´m not so good in bass sculpting, so can´t advice you on that dude)
5) The synth sound at 0:25 needs panning, a subtle phazer, and an automatable HP filter...
6)The synth 16ths line at 1:21 needs some waky stuff (try GRM Freezer)
7)The synth line at 2:12 is nice! (automate amp envelope decay to add)
8) Once you have audio tracks try to play with them as samples, slice them, reverse some parts, add plugins to one slice, and another to the next one, etc...
9)I like melodies, but try to make your particular melodies, so ppl can distinguish your tracks from the rest.... (explore unconventional melodic structures)
10) Is that ok? |
