The problem is your using Reason. I can make a video tutorial for a psy bassline in reason though if you like. It wont be as good as using a muon or anything else. Honestly, if you really want to use reason as your daw. I'd get another daw that supports vst so you can bounce a chronox or a tau pro bassline to wav and import it. Otherwise, get a new daw. You aint a hip hop wannabe super star. That's what reason is good for imo.
Bottomline - The subtractor just is not that great at basslines. I'm sure thor could do something though but I'd be more apt to stick with the subtractor.
IF you are intent on sticking with reason I'll do a subtractor psybass tutorial vid on youtube. Let me know here or in PM.
Peace

Subtractor is actually one of the best soft synths that I have encountered, it should not be a problem to make a bass with it.
Other than that, reason is not my favorite, but whatever suits you best...
As to how to make a bass line, I suggest you read yourself through "the mother of all basslines"

Subtractor is well capable of making phat bass lines for psy...
If you can't make a Clean bass line, please, make a Dirty one and build the track.... when track is finished go back to the bass and make it sound better...
Trance is not only about bass.... don't worry about it so much at the beginning...u'll get tired and without constructive ideas to build track.

yes subtractor is a good softsynth and it can create some great dance basses. i always had a lot of trouble getting a real psy bass out of it though. was funny that when i picked up the tau pro or the audio realism i was instantly making good psy basslines.

a la vegetal ....... it's all about synthesis!!
dig a lil deeper into it and apply!!
Tip - 2,3,4 subtractors are always better that 1!! i tend to add the malstrom - for some unique flavour!!
good luck and enjoy!!

I don't know your actual problem about bassline but here a few tips for you;
*Dont write notes where kick hits, write bassline between two kicks
*Use equalizer and compressor for making the bassline sounds clean
*If you are want to use delay dont add delay on your main synth, just copy the device and then add delay on the device that you copied.
*Use Envoloped Control Filter and Two Parametric EQ device to make your bass sounds as you want to.
*And find a good bass patch. Also you can edit one of in the reason's patch bank.
Good luck =)
