Psy Vibes presents on 6/12/2008 : 3 KILLER LIVE ACTS in Neraida, Thessaloniki (Airport Area)
FLIP FLOP LIVE ACT (Alchemy Rec.) UK
"Flip Flop" are Chris Hanson (aka Touch Tone/Sketchy Pimps/DJ Crispy) and John Beesemyer-Monkman (aka Hemi-Sync/Pink Noize), two producers from the UK. Both have been writing trance for over seven years, using this time to hone their production techniques and allow their sound to develop into the kicking Full On/Progressive hybrid that it has become.
With influences from many different genres of music and a tendency to think outside the box, their music stands out at home as well as on massive sound-systems.
Huge slabs of groove and tripped out sonic sound-scapes are interlaced with a melodic structure subtly easing its way out of the arrangement.
Both Chris and John DJ and Play live regularly around the UK in addition to international gigs played in Brazil, German, Thailand, France, Sweden, Denmark and India.
PROMOTIONAL "BLURB" FOR THE ALBUM: Alchemy records are proud to unleash Flip Flop's first long player on the world. John Beesemyer-Monkman and Chris Hanson are two young Londoners who have been cooking it up for a while now, testing the material on dancefloors across the globe then whipping it back into the studio for some added power and squelch. Its rare that artists introduce a genuinely new sound to the scene but a brief listen to Flip Flop will show you that they are trying something different and that its working. If you've been on a heaving festival dancefloor in the last year and have wondered what that exotic hybrid of psychedelic trance and deep atmospheric electronica is that shakes the system to its foundations, there's a fighting chance that these two are responsible. John and Chris have been friend's since they were kids and unlike a lot of artists they have really grown up with trance music since arguably its heyday of creativity in the late 90s. This is clear from the way that the album transports you back to classics like "Slipstream" (Flying Rhino), "Schizoeffective" (The Delta), "Headcleaner" (Atmos) as well as more recent releases like "Who needs love songs" (Sub 6) not to mention plenty of input from two consecutive winters wowing the dancefloors of Brasil. Thier live sets at festivals like Universo Parallelo have repeatedly been seen as highlights by party goers and other artists alike. They have both been DJing for more than ten years, giving them an acute understanding of what it takes to push tracks beyond the superficial and into the realm of powerful and captivating dancefloor music. They don't merely churn it out and there's a lot of love and discipline in the studio which adds a welcome depth and confidence to their sound. So immersed in music and parties are these boys that you have probably shared a cup of sunrise chai or at least a smiling dance with them without even realizing it. Their warm personalities have made them easy guests for party people and much in demand as a live act, and this character shines out of the album. Floppy Drive crunches and clobbers its way through 80 minutes of bold and shuddering, groovy and hypnotic dance music. Flip Flop aren't locked in by the rules of the genre instead utilizing them to build stunning sound scape's, even at times creeping away from trance music with snatches of ambiance and technoid crossover which reward the listener without confusing the palette. Tuck in!
BURN IN NOISE LIVE ACT (Alchemy Rec.) BR FIRST TIME IN GREECE
Gustavo Manfroni was brought up dedicating his time and interest completely to music. He's been playing the guitar since his early days. He played in 2 rock bands, up to the day when, during a trip to london, got in touch with the psychedelic trance music.
The interest in eletronic music grew fast and, in the end of 1999, started buying softwares for producing music.
Already with one acclaimed album, ¡Broken MP3¢, released on Brazilian label Vagalume Records, Burn In Noise has put the finishing touched to his storming second album, ¡Passing Clouds¢. Signed to Alchemy Records in 2007, he has gained recognition as one of the top Brazilian live acts over the past few years. With performances at festivals across the globe, (e.g. Full Moon, Universo Paralello, Echo), and 22 releases on labels worldwide, Gustavo has honed his style into dancefloor perfection.
The album features collaborations with Cosmosis, Headroom and DJ Thatha, and 6 individual tracks that will not let you stop moving. With an individual style focusing on strong warm basslines and textured, psychedelic leads that demand your attention, it breaks away from the standard full-on, representing a new, fresh direction in dancefloor music.
Also, has released his side project self-titled album “The First Stone” in january 2006.
Conwerter is Thanasis Zouzoulas, a qualified sound engineer, who has worked with some of the biggest post production and music studios in Athens. At the age of 16 he started making music and at the age of 20, he composed his first psy-trance tunes. A year later, after meeting Pan Papason, he joined the Harmonia-Records team. Ever since he developed a unique style of his own. His first release is "It's Curiosity EP" by Harmonia Records which is now available in stores!
He is currently working on his debut album that is going to be released by Harmonia Records, as soon as possible!

*it is nice to see that such names are coming in greece, and not one more time the same known artists.
so if we want to have thep pleasure to listen to more stuff like that,we better support those who take the risks.
