Busking - begging with music
(P.s. Better than claiming the dole and sitting on your arse doing nothing. And you are obviously enjoying yourself, and tbh there ain't nowt wrong with begging, at least you are creative about it)

I busk because I love to play music and it is a good way of spreading joy. People give me money to show their appreciation of what I am doing, the fact that I make them smile and the skill that I have. I hardly think that constitutes begging! After all, I don't ask them for money.
Does that make someone doing an office job better than me?
I started busking because my previous job made me seriously ill from stress and busking was something that I could do when I was well enough that wasn't stressful.
I now busk when I'm not teaching and playing in my band, so in the future, please don't judge all buskers as beggars! I thought people in the psy trance scene would be open-minded.

As I said before "there is nowt wrong with begging......"
If it was "good" enough for Buddha, it's good enough for me.
Me thinks the lady doth protest too much.

I think you missed the point, I was explaining that it's not begging. |

You might think that, but I think it is just as a creative expressive act to silently hold up a begging bowl and pray the universe fills it.
The point would be, if there ever was one, that I might think it is, and you might think it isn't. It doesn't distract or demean what any of us do any the less.

Providing an artistic performance for payment should not constitute begging. It's performing.
If you are providing entertainment, then that constitutes a service. The money people give you is in exchange for a service.
Beggars provide no service, no performance, no entertainment. Except those ones who get paid to beat each other up for the amusement of drunk College students, but that's a terrible business.

lovely.
