Energetick is dammn right, some patches are great bit some are too complex to mess with, start with one oscillator (saw wave) and start playing with thew envelopes,lfo`s add some distr, detune and u will get great results |

I have Vanguard, Albino etc. etc., all I wanna know is, that is there some sorta special THINGIE that you do with these synths or is it just some micro-edited notes on a formant, BP, HP24 etc. filters?
I mean, I can create all sortsa ambient FX and stuff for Goa, but never for Psy. Whenever I try to create Psytrance it ends up being Goa!

Guys guys guys! I appreciate all the help. I can easily work with all kindsa patches, synths, osc's and stuff. Leads are not a problem at all. All I asked was, is there some sorta special synth that's missing in my hangar for making Psy FX that fly around or is it just some random FX treated with a hell load of phasers and fuzzpillz and cutoff auto's.
Sorry if I sound rude, I really don't mean to. I'm already working on a fusion of World/Ambient and Goa. But when it comes to Psy, I can create the bassline, the trippy bass drum rolls... In short EVERYTHING that Psy is about except for those crazy synth FX. That's it! Plus I'm always short of dark vocal samples But that's a different story.
You guys have repeatedly mentioned Z3ta, I guess I'll just get that and play around.

At that time GMS was another thing, another music writers, heheh they used a lot of lfo pitch resources in their synths. 'Life After' is a good example, and its full of this Pitch and LFO tricks, (the classic psydish squishy sound with the LFO Ammount @ max and the play in the LFo's Rate Frequency moving from slow to fast and backwards).
Another very common resource is the tone vibration in their leads with a little bit of LFo Pitch Ammount (less than 35) and a fast LFo Rate speed. Automate the pitch ammount so you can make the vibration deeper and while the note sustains. Or just leave the LFO Ammount @ max and add LFO Delay so the note starts pitched and looses it when the vibration gets to strong.
About the filters and effects, there arent any secrets, they use the Band & High Pass filter mode, lots of delay, lots of flanger and phasers.
If you take 'Spliffpolitics' as a example, it is a very simple track with a really solid base, some crazy snares and a fast lfoed psy squeeze sound. minimal and completely effective.

I know the feeling 
The way I see it "psytrance" is mostly made of ivocative sounds while goa is based on tunes and exotic scales. Psytrance is more atmosphere than music. Both are good and one without another would not be whole.
But if you want more "psy" flavour than focus on "single note" atmospheres and FX rather than creating a fast 16th acid tune with ocassional glides

I think that you dont realy know what a psytrance is . Atmosphere in psytrance is only a part of the all backroud and decor , the good feeling in , the frame that holding all together into the complitly thing .
For me when i say psytrance is Bass & Kik & Loops & Leads & Synths , Percussions , Fx's , Hh and more ..
They are creating the atmos . I think u have wrong with the style
