Hello everyone.
Could anyone please tell me which synth I should use in order to create Psy synth FX like those in GMS' "Life After" or "Manali" and other such grainy, swooshy FX?

If you want it grainy , use a bitcrusher with a lofi fuzz effect or somthing....or formant filter ....i think...
never really done anything grainy, but i guess something like that...

any synth with enough modulation can do that... to make swooshes u just need an envelope that u can assign to pitch or filter cutoff... |

i spoke to tomaz from atmos when he was in aus recently and he said he uses the same bass preset for *every* track.
how inspiring.

HAHAHA!!! You guys actually hijacked this thread with your own trips!
I have Vanguard, Albino etc. etc., all I wanna know is, that is there some sorta special THINGIE that you do with these synths or is it just some micro-edited notes on a formant, BP, HP24 etc. filters?
I mean, I can create all sortsa ambient FX and stuff for Goa, but never for Psy. Whenever I try to create Psytrance it ends up being Goa!

The base of psy music, and almost everything in electronic (for me at least) is the following:
Isolate 1 oscilator and start playing with it!!!
dont use patches, they are to complex to handle, start with one osc, experiment with Lfo, Eq, Waveform Etc, and u have a lead.
