lodge's been fooling dubai earlier this yr! somewhere around march, they were doin these free nites with international DJz... like Junior Jack for instance, who dint turn up... n they brought down on the last minute Kurtis Mantronik, made sure his face wouldnt b noticed. The crowd dint know it wasnt Jr Jack till about a day or two after the event! The lodge later commented that Jr Jack couldnt make it due to some health probz and they dint have tyme to inform anyone!
J-Deep told me about another f'k up! they sent text to everyone that Midival Punditz were being brought down for a night of trance n goa trance! it seems J-Deep went for the night to find 'em playing some cheeesy Dhinchaak desi remixes and there was no sign of Punditz!
Lodge's been down ever since! dunno much about whatz happening now! i think they juz have their regular nites!
i vouch that itz a good location since they have indoor and outdoor! if u can somehow pull it off there, its good!

guyz.... as far as i'm concerned, i dont give a shit about locations.... i juz want it to happen.... let it be anywhere... what i am thinking is that the psychedelic scene here in dubai is only at an infant stage right now! We need to establish a scene here first with juz local djz... good tyme... then once the culture gets into mainstream, only then can we get sponsors to bring over international acts here! sponsors run away from anything other than the reigning HOUSE, HIP-HOP/RnB & Desi. Thatz b'coz these genres have already established a scene here for ages and the sponsors get an idea of the turn-out as soon as he comes across a proposal! where-as, this isnt the case of psychedelic trance. first of all, most wouldnt know about the muzik, secondly, even if they know, they'd b scared about the turn-out for the event, and thirdly, even if we guarantee them good turn-out, then also they would be worried about cop trouble,Drgs, and every other lauda lassoon associated!
so what i suggest is that, at this stage, we juz have normal house parties where we could all come n discuss face to face about what each of us can do for the muzik scene. that way, we would all get more serious than we are now, sittig in front of a PC, and also, we would get to know each other a lot!
this is my opinion/suggestion.
btw, iBO psychedelic nites still goin on ? i've been outta town for over a month now!

when i said lodge was good.... i was jus talkin about the venue... how it is good for a psy nite... and basically we jus discussin about the different venues which would fit into the psy-style and where somthin is possible...
i do knw about the fk ups which happed with junior jack and medival pundits....
i did say tht thy do charge a bomb for the place....
very true on whd u said tht psy is jus in it's early stages ... but dude... if we end up promotin this musik anywhere and everywhere ... WE as psy heads would turn up ... no doubt ... but i don't think the organisers would be happy in the long run if they not gettin da green thing comin to their pockets...
i guess this place(DUBAI) will not *or* or should have any porbs with organisers....lie whd shit sometimes happpens in india ...
like u said .. house parties is a good start no doubt ... but u want the crowd to come ... thn i guess u need to go full on.... the scene would be alaways alive among us...
i knw a lot of psyheads and pple who like our genre not comin for the gigs cause it was at highland.. tht is all i was sayin ..
yea we could say ballz to them and all ... and ask thm to f*#k off ... but dude.. i guess.. they all would make a diff..
how do u think house came into dubai anyways...
it's a slow process... very slow one... but thanx to theraphy .. it did come to a big start ....
i guess someone would have to throw a house party and gets things sorted out..... i guess after gradual meetings.. things would shape jus fine....
and honselty about clubs. bro .. honeslty ... every fkin club is like tht ... man .. name honestly a club which would help this moment to come up .. do u think no one knws about psy trance in dubai...
there r so many ravers in this town.. tht it is unbelivable..
the whole krowd is spread between cabin crew+media+advertising industry ...
if we get these pple to come into the picture... i mean cultutre wise.. i guess we have done it... psy does have huge potential.... only tht someone has to take it up serioulsy ... and i guess... we donot have anything to lose anyways.
i used to see a hell lotta posts on www.dubailook.com about psy ... but i guess it's slowed down there also ... there were so many people postin about and on psy in tht forum ... and i guess.. not even 50% of the people turned from tht for the gigs...
nyways....

hey borgz...
i know what u mean about dubailook.com, i'm also a member there. I joined during the tyme when there were heated discussions on psy trance over there back in January! it was all started by this friend of myne from holland named Steven. He wanted to do a small psychedelic party back then! Seeing that i'm also missing psy trance parties a lot, i decided to team up with him! We both approached therapy/abhi/ohm team! they were ready to support if me n steven had come up with investment! the plan then, was to bring Tristan [Twisted Records, UK] to do a live-act here in dubai! Me n steven are college students, and other than an idea of what to do, we actually dint know how to go about anything. then months passed... and by March Steven left for Holland. After that I tried a lot to find sponsors and it juz dint work out on my own. Thatz when i approached a lot of ppl regarding help on this matter. Like your pal J-Deep, who happened to be the Judge of a DJ Competition I took part in, and won third place! Later, one day I called abhi regarding what to do about this proposal, he informed me that he's bringing Paul Taylor to Dubai for a gig on 5th of May. Then seeing that something's happening here, I was happy about that and left what i had set out to do. I still have the Proposal lying around! hehe
As for the ppl @dubailook.com not showing up, c'mon borgz!!!!! its all talks... no ba||s!! most of 'em replying are kids... the others r ch00ths who juz wanna say "we r kool, we love psytrance"!!! fuck those ppl there man! they r of no use!
probably by this weekend, i'll b teaming up with some friends to go see some resort in umm-al-quwain. If we find one affordable, then we plan to host a small psy-gathering where we'll juz play some muzik, drink n chill-out!! If things work out, i'll let u guyz know where to come!

Well well well.....where do I start 
Dj 'Dell Nikai' killed it for 13 hours straight! Music started at 1 and was full blast till mid afternoon! Crazzy!! It was a small scene [5-6 of us] but killer energy babas! Specially when the sun was up....man, t'was a super night. The feeling next afternoon was splendid. Had a perfect night, no sleep, killer music, just enough alcohol and were feeling as if we were fuckin stoned outta our minds! hehe... Ashwin baba....what say?  Driving back to Sharjah was a nightmare though....
@PSYBORGZ....I thought you were 'ON' and all?? So much enthusiasm....what happened?
@Loki: Nice meeting you buddy....keep the energy flowing
@Art_Kore: Buddy, better arrange for your beers next thursday, fuck the red bulls man!
@Punit: Still cant get over the chappal scene...hahahahaha.....
And yes, forgot to mention the killer breakfast and coffee we had in the morning! and the door not opening! haha... too good, will not forget this night in a long while!
