A note about some chill CD's from Suid Afrika:-
NEW RELEASE FROM BINARY DREDD
Binary Dredd who feature on the Area69 release a new album called 'Underground'...
see www.limerecords.co.za for details, available from www.kalahari.net, am still waiting for my copy but the tracks in Area69 were great.
Nagual release their second CD on Zulu Warrior records, a retrospective of the last few years, very African/Tribal flavored, Lo Fi, no frills stuff, but real (contains vocals)...I have a promo copy so it should be out soon
African Dope have a new CD from Kalahari Surfers called 'Muti Media', the first Kalahari Surfer 'Akasic rekord' is a ***** masterpiece, the new one continues the blend of dub & bushman samples...
Also for underground ambient, check out openrecord.co.za, Benguela who play double bass, drums and guitar create soundscapes and grooves and improvise their sets...also contains some remixes.  -~ |
