if you make your "career" psytrance, you may as well die a virgin..even if you take away the almost certain probability that it won't last, IMO you missed the whole point.

well, then quite a lot of people missed the point my dear:)))))).
btw career is a nice word. i am dreaming of the day when there will be a special psychedelic carriculum with lessons in anything from music theory to philosophy, pythagorean mathematics ,anthropology and shamanism.
would be a perfect sort of graduating to be a dj . hope this time will not be too far, so that i can at least once go to a qualitatively good professional.
but i know, it will not happen in the next 15 years.

From Wiki:
Career is a term defined by the Oxford English Dictionary as an individual's "course or progress through life (or a distinct portion of life)". It is usually considered to pertain to remunerative work (and sometimes also formal education).
The etymology of the term is somewhat ironic in that it comes from the Latin word carrera, which means race (as in "rat race," a pejorative implying the opposite of a useful career).
A career is mostly seen as a course of successive situations that make up a person's occupation. One can have a sporting career or a musical career without being a professional athlete or musician, but most frequently "career" in the 20th century referenced the series of jobs or positions by which one earned one's money.

to me the word career means exactly this : successive situations. it means that a person is devoted to an activity which brings success and the person feels happy while following his vision.

it is very euphoric and it works on a neurotransmitter level - you get dopamin because your brain is satisfied.it reached its goals. so? so you can only have "career" if you are gonna have success. are you gonna have success in psy? and how do you define success? because it is obvously not the scene to make a lof of money ( if you are not exactly the next infected mushroom). so how you get your dopamine in the brain - (gratifying center in the brain)? i think that it is a street with a barrier at the end. i hope only hope for you that it is not a one way street. and that you have many different possibilities to choose other doors to get your neurotransmitters of success. cause psy is not really a street that leads to dopamin. it leads to confusion, sadness, feeling of being not understood and a feeling of having failed. and it is getting worse. so may be it will not be such a bad idea if the people search for their careers in other fields.

well anyway, do what you want and a lof of success to you.

In other words, for once you'll get to be a nerd!

oh no, in the meanwhile i find the people more sexy who are involved with physics and know a little bit about it, than those who make a carrier in the trance scene:)). actually i even finished my participation in any trance forums , just wanted to tell the sweet guy from above that " missing the point" is like a basic quality of those who follow a "carrier" in trance. because there is not enough "food" in trance for anyone who dropped a line and made a nice little simple track. but i am not the one to judge, i am happy that i follow mine somewhere else. i had a long period of bridging lately but now it is okey. i just need my dopamine in the brain. to have a goal and to win. in the trance scene there is nothing to win.

this is also a sentence that i read often in the forums. i mean, if someone is in front of a mirror here and likes to talk to himself - it is okey. make whatever you like. but i feel quite bored if i read this sentence in trance forums. i am totally okey.
one could even get an interesting job. not a fucking one. of course the price comes after the effort:) but this is for those who love dopamin and winning games.

the rest would do perfectly in the trance scene as well:). they have to, cause they have no other choice. but i dont intend to care about it anymore. i just know that i have no dopamin in my brain if an organizer has given me so and so much hundred euros for something done on a festival and then the same organizer has thausands of euro minus from the same festival. what have i done. i havent even won anything besides bad feeling.....

nono. one can do so many other things in life other than making carier in trance. actually i have always been bored even while selling something at a festival. i could do money much better somewhere else.
