trance here in holland started to suck around 2000 when events became massive and trance commercial and simply attracted a different crowd (formerly know as "Gabbers" who seem to get off on 230BPM). The current euro-trance is still no match to old school prog trance giants such as Simon Berry (Art of Trance), Claudio Guissani (Terra Ferma) imho. Currently (i'm in my 40's  ) i became addicted to a more mellow psychedelic prog ambient / morning trance as can be heared on the fantastic Ultimae Records. Artists such as Aes Dana, Carbon Based Lifeforms, Solar Fields. I'm relocating to CT by the end of this year and curious if there is such an ambient scene going on. baie dankie
