Its completely possible to make bangers in Reason! Just look at thor! Malstrom! The sequencers alright, you can definitely write entire tracks within it. The key is to slave Reason to a DAW.

i love the workflow in reason how quick it can go to write a track.

Some of OOOD write tracks in Reason and then bring it to me to mix in Cubase. It's very very very very very very very very very very very very difficult IMO to make a track 100% in Reason that has the definition and clarity of a track written in Cubase or Logic or Ableton, and the reason seems to be Reason's mixers. If you take them out of the equation (ie. connect directly from the last device in a chain to the Hardware Interface, bypassing ALL mixers) and mix using Rewire, you'll be amazed at the difference in clarity.

I agree with Colin, otherwise i like reason a lot, Great tool, But they should really support vst and audio tracks. though im using Reason 4, dunno whats new in 5

I have used reason 4 for a couple of years,recently upgraded to reason 5 and record 1.5 and its made hell of a difference. The mixer in record is absolutely wicked imo and being able to work with audio tracks as well is nice. If you have a legal copy of reason I recommend the upgrade its not too expensive and you get quite a few more features.
