Hi
I agree, with tuk, that you are at the beginning.
I also say that you could improve your sound a lot if you choose different sounds. Your sounds seem to be standart sounds, not self made.
Take your time and create you own killer sounds.
A good composition and a good arrangement is half the producing. Take care that you fill the fequencyband up in balance.
I mean, lowbass, bass, lowmid, mid, highmid, lowhigh, high, very high
for example: if you have two sounds both in lowmidrange, it's too much, seperate them one you make higher, by transposing one octave up or by equalizing, so that you have one sound in lowmidrange and the other in midrange.
Your composition and arrangement has to take care, that you have never two sounds in the same frequencyrange at the same time.
Imagine the Frequencyband, which you can use for you music as a street. Left you have the bass.. going towards right you come to the highsounds. Imagine your music like a lot of cars driving in the same direction on this street. They have to be beside eachother otherwise they crash ;-)
If you do this, your production will sound much more professional.
The bass mentioned by tuk is also important for a lot of people.
go to my website http://www.subconsciousmind.ch there go to technical- there go to "fatbass principle" there you can find a little help. You need cubase SX for it. Also some info about composing there.
So, i hope I could give something to think about.
All the best
Raphael

hi
a few words about the track..
genrally sounded like midi to me, i dislike that kind of sound
the content isnt very intensive, but yet enjoyable sometimes
no power, no melody...
empty sound
im sorry for expressing all that, but i prefer to be honest
dont quit making music and you will succeed with the time
best wishes, friend

yeah dude you are using alot of midi but don't let that be a problem, i used to make tunes with just midi and although you cant alter the sound very much doing that for a couple of years has really helped me now, i have i few bits of hardware and now softsynths are getting good.....get reactor or absynth vst instruments...keep at it, 'expand and dialate' your sound...as usual heres my link for my music. all the best!! olly
