On some date... Someone said:

Not all full-on is cliche as you're saying. If anything, dark and night trance has become more cliche than the full-on. Case to point, full-on today sounds completely different than full-on from a couple years ago. As a DJ who normally plays full-on; I am faced with having to keep this in mind when picking tracks for sets. On the other hand, night trance has stayed mostly true to its roots and has not changed much in the past couple years. Which style is more creative now???

Actually... No. That's a total lie.

In 2005 and 2006 darkpsy trance was mostly a more potent and strange fullon-like music, with lots of groove (just not ass to floor grooves, though).

ie: penta, ocelot, kindzadza, jahbo.

In 2006 the high-tech sound of highko/cosmo/highcosmos came out. 'Peace for the Wicked' came out in late 2006, with a mix between hightek and certain hardcore elements.

In 2007... more hightek stuff and the darker people, like silent horror started making even darker stuff which was more atmospheric and less melodic. I think this is also the year we started getting the 160+ BPM stuff.

In 2008 there was lots of High Speed stuff, some of it hightek and the rest more noiselike. Some people also made a few tracks with a sound more reminiscent of Goa. Also some people returned to a more melodic groovy sound, like fungus funk.

Would you be happier if the music had stayed the same as it was in 1990's Goa, India? That would be real creative huh? Sticking with the exact same music style without any progression for 15 years straight... Stop hating on innovation; you sound like an old coot.

Read above, shmuck.

Fullon has only got less and less interesting and more and more monotonous. Some of it is soooo bad it sounds like something you play at a stripper joint.

Stripper music without strippers is just horrible music.

and no, painkiller is not good. They suck, they really suck, oh my god they suck. Painkiller is actually dark fullon (supposedly), and much better artists are Pitch Hikers (first album), Slug, Rinkadink, Cactus and Orca.

Oh yeah, I forgot that MELODY, CHORD PROGRESSION, BUILD UPS, and DROPS make all music "cheesy" right??? Because all music, like old classical music from Beethoven, or Bach is cheesy right? Because the classical music which has lasted for hundreds of years and still remains relevant today is cheesy overly commercialized music right?
.....

That was long... had to cut it. I despise fullon because it has *NONE* of these elements. Just having a single pattern, with melodies is totally boring. And dark music is more melodic than you think, not all of it, but still... Most of the times you may not notice because the melodic part uses a gate, effects, etc... *Wow* sounds interesting, huh?

Well.. that's all folks!
