Anyway I will answer to your question Absolut, there are so many prog parties because Eternal Motion took all the bookings for full on and there are a lot of Promoters who left behind and the only thing they can do is progressive parties! And believe me the (mikrovio) of being Promoter is too strong to leave it! And now every week we are gonna have prog party! Great guys keep going the good work and lets see who's gonna be down first! I think that the distinction between progressive and full on, is as a deccelerating and accelerating 4/4 beat. Even though two tracks can have the same bpm (beats per minute) it is more like a reverse bias and forward bias current, in music.
Characterisig progressive trance music as progressive (the music of paste, sbk, ticon, etc.) is wrong in my opinion, because there is a certain progress in music, with respect to time, even in both "progressive" and full on music.
Having to make a story, a passage of time with feeling, rather like the repetitive beat and sequences of techno, and dry hard trance. Something like the acceleration and brake pedals in your car.
So i think that psychedelic trance is by itself progressive music.
Pure progressive trance is supposed to hypnotise you and pure full on music is supposed to exhilerate you from inertia and lack movement.
It is a good thing that diferent parties exist, as this will save us from dulness (greek:ania, weariness), and even better if we have different sytles of music, such as drum and bass, real hip hop, and chill out music/ethnic music (music you can listen in a cafe, in a bar) as we used to have [in small scale] in the past.
