Good start, too much clicking there (lower the resonance a little bit maybe), maybe add some strings for a more enviromental feel, breakbeat in the beginning gives some great energy (long live tr808s :)), but I think it's streched too thin.

As for the bassline, a bass always at max volume is too much, and loses it's rhythm, try a more "cut up" bassline to add some pressure (and maybe lower an octave as well), and make the bassdrum a bit more dominant.

After the first bit "passage" which adds some more hihats, I would suggest maybe some more aggressive percussion work, maybe some congas and a snare. The progression here is attempting to go deeper each time, but the music is definately in the high-power area. Each element is in place, but just keep on thinking "how can I keep it flowing and energetic each passage", make the progression more flowing. In short, you keep on going down, but you forget that going up is what can take this track a lot farther.

And as for the break with the reverse+highpass, maybe switch to bandpass instead, and after it, try just bassdrum+bassline+percussion, and only after a short while move on to a melody, to get the groove in first. The end bit is nice and aggressive, but it's not built in a "linear" fasion towards it, so it doesn't reach it's full potential.

Great elements, smart ideas, just not thinking progressive enough to let the groove really kill :)

Jason, thanks :)

also - asaf mentioned the break. he neglected to mention the panning effect - not clean and not even. when your panning make sure you allways have some instrument centerlized.

Jason: Not necessarily, you can start in the middle move left, than restart in the middle move right, keep to the right, move slowly left until you fade out the volume on the left side and snap back in the middle with full blast.

A bit Schuldt-like in idea, but it can work.

yeah sure. but what im saying is, that in THIS track specifically, the panning is uneven and needs somthing to balance it. :)

Well, I think that I have to improve the "reverse break" too.. the idea of the entrance of just kick + bassline sound me good, but first I've the idea to put that melody, because it sounds me more progressive... Now I realized that I've to put something in the "reverse break" too, to center it, like Jason said... I'll improve it!

Thanks again dudes!
I've got another tracks, if you wanna, please, contact me at icq!

ps: sorry about my terrible english... =o)

btw: In case you need some inspiration on how breaks like yours have been done before...

Phreaky - Paranormal Activity

Best use of bandpass in a break ever.
