process isn't working in cubase.

my friend says when tries to process a wav in cubase like with reverse for example it doesnt do anything , it stays the same.
2 days ago it was fine.
what could be the reason?it's cubase 5

maybe some cubase files got corrupted or something, you can try trashing the prefs maybe this will help. if that wont work then you have to reinstall cubase.

are you sure it's not the audio part display bug?
have you updated to 5.1.1?
if you click on the right handle and make the audio event longer, is the tail there?
