It works but i have two times the same monitor showing the same things, instead of two different complementary workspaces.
what i have to do? please help me: i'm kinda getting oppressed with only 1 screen space for cuSX3.
do i have to install some video manager software or what??
thx in advance

disable the second screen the way you mirrored it. then press right mouse button on your desktop area. go to "einstellungen/settings". You should see two screens, one activated and one greyed out. Below the resolution settings you should see two boxes called "use this device as the primary monitor" and "extend my windows destkop onto this monitor".
Now decide which one will be your primary, select the greyed out monitor and select the extend function. you should be done then.
You can now press the Identify Button and you get a large number displayed on your screen.
Set the resolution, refresh rate and so on.
I can recommend the tool ultramon, it's way better than ati/nvidias tool. With it you can set two different screen savers, quickly enable disable second monitor, set hotkeys for fast switching windows between screens and on and on.
pm me if you need a description in swiss german.

Most laptops I've seen don't support dual monitors. Almost all laptops have a vga output, but it designed to be just a copy of what you see on the laptop screen, so I don't think what you are trying to do is going to work.
If you want a 2nd seperate monitor for your laptop, you're probably going to have to buy a pcmcia video card. A quick google search yielded this result:

my video card is SiS M760
2nd screen NOT connected to VGA :
in Control panel -> "install new hardware" -> if i sort a list of installed hardware i have listed two times "default screen"
2nd screen connected to VGA :
in Control panel -> "install new hardware" -> if i sort a list of installed hardware i have listed "default screen" and "plug and play monitor"
I've tried installing ulramon with (and without mirroring feature as suggested in "Help"), but it always tells me that a single monitor is detected...
I'm afraid dharma lab is right.
thx for help !!
