I dont trust creative labs
but some of the emu cards has some nice features...

they should concentrate on stable drivers though..

i have the 0404. a below average card in my opinion. but i dont know anything about anything.

is the 1212 that much of a step up? just seems like the same basic card in my opinion.          The IsraTrance MySpace Group:

No the 1212m is a completly different card.
In fact the 1212m systems are two cards, the 1010 main and the 0202 daughter card.

1010 is the soundcard the 0202 is a dsp card.

In this pricerange (200€) it is the best card, IMO.

all creative cards are great when u only watch the hardware... But the drivers suck balls... Even if they work, they don't use the full potential of ur card (i had this problem with every single creative product i ever bought). I downloaded third-party drivers for my present creative card (i know i know, but i aint gonna buy a motu for a 5-year-old pc) and now it's MUCH more powerfull and easy to use then with the creative drivers (although they were written by ONE person in his spare time...) I even had to use the original drivers from the cd, cuz the updated drivers were so bad my breakout box didn't want to work anymore with them installed now that it's solved i can laugh at the problem, but at the time it really aggravated me...

Janue,
i have the 1820 and am happy with it alltou it takes allot of effort to utilise it. the updated drivers made things much more convenient.

Orange,
i had similar if not much worse problems with my 1820. did you try reversing the cable? it helped me out. also make sure its as far from yourm video card as possible. that what the technicanains at emu told me.
at any rate, tje customer support is excellent ask them.
