Hi
Would anyone like to help me, i got a little problem with Cubase SX 2.0 about setting up with the audio in: and out:
i got a m-audio audiophile 2496. anyone have the same soundcard so maybe u can tell me how it would look like??
i also got another problem, with my soundcard, sometime when im changing the volume on my speaker... there comes a crackling sound..
anyone know how i can fix this? |

Hey Setfan. I didn´t understand your first question... Can u make myself clear??
About second one sometimes it´s just like this I think... Friend of mine has one and sometimes I can hear very annoying sounds... I also have this soundcard, but here I´ve never heard something like this.
But did u change the asio driver on Device Setup?? It must be "Delta Asio driver". And did u make the soundcard "sync lost" test?

Greetings
Regarding your crackling sound issue.
Mostly when a soundcard 'crackles' is due to too much out volume from the card, i.e. the cards signal distorts.
Check that no program creates a distortion, like a mixer peaking in cubase etc and try to lower the output volume on the soundcard controls to see if that fixes it.
It might also depend on the cables you're using from the soundcard to the amplifier, or the amplifier itself.
