Problem with controller...

Hi, sorry to bug you guys with another newb question but ive been dealing with this problem for a bit now and just cant figure it out even after searching on the web for fixes. maybe someone knows how to address this: basically whenever i use the vanguard synth with my m-audio oxygen8 controller and i press the "e" note on the controller, all the other notes are disactivated unless i hold down the e. hopefully someone knows the fix or if its an easy thing that im just oblivious to. thanks

UPDATE: basically i put all the presets back to default in case i screwed up something with the CC assignments but the problem is just more evident...essentially whenever i press the E key or F key in the octave below that the volume for vanguard is set to -inf and the pan setting is for all the way to the left (respectively)...so any ideas? ill give m-audio a call tomorrow to see whats up but thanks in advance for any help
