Hi there,
I have a slight problem with automation in Cubase.
I´m not a cubase pro, so possibly I just oversee something I guess.
I wanted to add a volume automation to one of my channels. When I set it to show the automation part in the arrangement window and draw my line there it looks good, but somehow the programm does not read that (Read is turned on). It just plays that part with standard volume over the whole part.
If I set the channel in the mixer to write automation and do it manually while playing, the programm correctly does that when I play it again.
My problem there: I cannot see the automation in the arrangement window.
I really want to use the part in the arrangement window, so I can draw lines and see what automation is set there.
What did I do wrong?
Cheers,
Kryten

click on the arrow in a track (somewhere @ the bottom left )- a new subtrack appears- and go onto the slot to select the parameter you want to automate.
Do not forget to click the R - the line than is colourful you can draw what you want , you could change the quantization (which you can find on top of the window)
for 16ths or whatever you need at this time.
You can then click on plus to select a new parameter or go into the same slot and change for a new parameter etc. |

And if u still don't find it then you have
"Show all Used Automation" cause sometimes, dont
know why, when I choose "Show Used Automation"
it doesnt show my automation but with "Show all Used Automation"
it will be shown.

That I tried first cause it was how I remembered to do this. Somehow the automation has no effect when I do it this way now. |
